story great

the story is great but there is too much in the background going on. Makes it hard to follow everything.

This was good! And it was full of amazing action! I really really enjoyed it!

I especially enjoyed the humour. Well enacted! A fun listening experience. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Sometimes the graphic audio can be overwhelming

I like the story and the plot. The pacing is quick with a number of twists and turns.

More neutrally, the writing can be a bit snarky and the characters are a little over the top. I enjoyed the jokes and such, but some may find it breaks the mood.

The sound mixing puts a lot of the music and sound effects too far into the foreground. I had to listen to sections multiple times because I would find myself distracted by the music or unable to follow because the sound effects were a cacophony. The scene where the person was smoking was just awful.

I also have the suspicion that I am not listening to the whole book or the graphic novel added something so the background is not quiet. For example, do the actors act an emotion instead of reading the text, which raises the question of whether I am interpreting the statement correctly. In addition, I wonder if the sound effects represent something in the text (the smoking scene is also a good example of this - the spoken text never refers to someone smoking but there is someone trying to insert smoking sounds.

I liked the voice acting. The speaking is a little fast, more conversational than narration. I noted a few moments where I could not make out a word or phrase due to poor enunciation.

So I read these books in the past and enjoyed them greatly. This year I decided to give the audio books a chance.

The production values on this audio book are so good I'm flabbergasted. Frankly it sets a standard for audio books that I think very few titles will be able to reach.

I know some reviews have stated these are cut versions of the original books. It's been a hot second since I read the books, so any inconsistencies between the books and this were completely admissible to me. Even if there is cut content, the quality of this audio book makes it completely worth it.

literally the only thing that would be better is if HBO picked up Ghost Finders as a series. with that being said make sure you check out the movie Judas Ghost, a film based off the Ghost Finders that I adore completely.

Probably nostalgia but, I love the full cast.

So I know this book isn't entirely the original, but after having heard the entire series with a full cast I couldn't bring myself to listen to the un-shortened versions of the book, but I also don't drive over the road anymore and have no cd player in the little truck I do drive so I wasn't able to listen to the physical copies I already have.

I'd just decided to get this as the original series and listen to it that way when (after purchasing) audible recommended the graphic audio version of the book.

since that was the version I was looking for in the first place I happily made the exchange.

i will likely get at least thw first book eventually as non graphic audio and compare them to see how much I actually missed but for now, I'm ecstatic to be able to get this version on audible.

Simon Green has an amazing imagination, and he knows how to keep you interested, great read

The immersion of the drama.

I ❤️ the cast and the quality of the performances. It's really a movie in your mind!

Boring

I tried several chapters, and I normally adore Simon's work, but this totally turned me off. I think it would have probably been good if there was npmore story to the story, but the overarching narrator made it feel more like an economics textbook. Not recommended.
