Publisher's Summary

Raf never knew he needed a Daddy until he meets Daddy Brendan....

Adulting is hard for Raf. After a less than ideal youth, he’d hoped to find where he belongs. But despite trying several things in the club his best friend frequents, nothing clicks for him.

Until he meets Daddy Brendan, the perfect bear of a man with the gentle voice, the soft cuddles, and an appendage Raf is rather fascinated by.

Daddy Brendan wants to take care of Raf in every way, and Raf quickly discovered he loves being Daddy Brendan’s baby boy. He’s finally found where he belongs. If only he could forget about his past and be truly happy....

Gentle Hand is a daddy kink MM romance with age play and ABDL. Please note trigger warnings for mild homophobia, parental mistreatment, and depression. It’s the second book in the Perfect Hands series, but can be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

Didn't Know 'Littles' Were a Thing

Author Nora Phoenix either knows Littles personally, or has done a lot of research. I am so vanilla, it's ridiculous, but she led me gently into this world with care, compassion, and knowledge. The Little in this book also has ADHD, which complicates his life and the way he reacts with the world. Daddy takes time to research ADHD, and feels that loving Raf is worth the effort.

There is a short scene where Raf is confronted with a child expressing gender 'confusion.' I found it hearbreaking.

Narrator Kenneth Obi was especially wonderful as Daddy Brendan. He was never harsh or demanding. Obi gave care and consideration to each sentence Daddy spoke to Raf, much as Daddy did to Raf after one major breakdown. I fell in love with the Teddy Bear Daddy, and his chosen baby boy Raf.

So sweet! Perfect Daddy Boy Story

This was an incredibly sweet and hot Daddy-Boy ABDL MM romance. Rafe is a sweet young man who struggles with ADHD and depression and is learning to find his way becoming an adult. After several incidents in the BDSM scene fall flat for Rafe, he is discovered crying by an older Daddy. The love story between Daddy Brendon and baby boy Rafe is well developed and has the HEA you definitely want! I hope this series continues so we can learn about Ford and maybe someone with other disabilities....even accepting Jason from the restaurant! Firm Hand and Gentle Hand are definitely going to be on my relisten list. Fantastic narration as well!

Daddy Brendan finds his boy

If you've listened to Firm Hand then you've heard a bit about Brendan and Raf. Raf is Rhys' best friend and this is the story of how Raf and Daddy Brendan meet.

Raf has ADHD and it makes his life more difficult and stressful. He needs someone to understand his needs and sees beyond his quirks to the beautiful person who has so much love to give. When Brendan happens to overhear Raf and Rhys talking in a club about Raf looking for a kink that clicks with his personality Brendan thinks he might have found the person he's been looking for too.

I loved this story. Raf is so beautiful and heart achingly honest with his acceptance of what brings peace to his chaotic mind and life. He embraces everything that Brendan offers him with such trust and love and he doesn't let the fear of the unknown or what other's opinions might be stop him as the most important people in his life only want what makes Raf happy.

Brendan shelters Raf from all the outside influences that cause so much stress in an already overstimulated life. I loved how Brendan could look at Raf's struggles and see only a beautiful boy who he could nurture that also brought so much joy into his own life.

I loved the narration and I think that Kenneth Obi did a wonderful job.

I highly recommend this audiobook and honestly this whole series.

I received a copy of this audiobook but this is my honest review.

Age Play

It was great to get Rafs story. He is Resses friend from firm hand, My heart broke from him for his home life and it was great that he had Reese and Daddy Brenden. I loved seeing his interactions with Reese, and how Brenden appreciated them. Raf is the sweetest boy and this was a great listen.

Sweet abdl story

Loved getting to know these characters better after first meeting them in Firm Hand. I loved how Brendan met Raf and found his place in the kink world. As always, Kenneth did a great job voicing the characters and giving them their own unique voice.

DNF

DNF
I cannot review this audiobook fairly, because I couldn't get passed the first chapter. I can listen to Kenneth Obi when he reads with a neutral to lower pitch, but when his cadence repeatedly swings upwards into a high pitch then I want to look upwards for a thick enough tree branch or a high beam to hang myself from. It irritates me tremendously. If this narrator can learn to lower his pitch and have a more natural lowness in his tone, slow down, then I'm able to listen to him.
He has a beautiful natural deep rumbling voice, but if he doesn't learn to slow the cadence and think alpha male, and read the fitting material, then I can not continue to listen to him.
Happy Listening

Great story, narration was mixed

I loved this story, especially in the beginning when Raf and Brendan meet. The daddy/boy relationship was perfect for them and it was so sad yet hopeful as Brendan helped Raf learn to deal with his adhd.

The only issue I had was with Kenneth Obi’s portrayal of Brendan’s voice. Sometimes there was a perv-ish quality when he was praising his “baby boy”. I was a little uncomfortable with that. Otherwise the narration was fine. Definitely worth a listen, or a read.

as good as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Kenneth Obi is one of the top 5 narrators (so far) for me, I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

Sweet Daddy and his adorable boy

This audiobook is amazing. Nora Phoenix really brings Raf and his Daddy Brendon to life in her writing and Kenneth Obi makes them live with his narration. My heart broke for poor Raf with no one other than his best friend Rhys at his side and the difficulty he had with his ADHD. I was so happy for him when Daddy Brendan began to help him because he really was a boy in need of a Daddy. When I read the book I felt so invested in the characters, and Kenneth Obi’s narration just expounds that feeling. He does both the sweet, lighter voice of Raf and the stronger dominant voice of his Daddy Brendan equally well. Definitely recommended!

More emotional then the book!!

I love love love this story and have read the book a number of times. My review from Amazon

Ok this was definitely a read and can’t put down book, Raf is so sweet but a prime example of how emotional abuse can affect you into adulthood!! Brendan is such a great daddy that perfect blend of caring for his boy and allowing lifting his boy and allowing him to grow into himself and giving him the safety net to be able to deal with his trauma and move on. Nora has done and amazing job of showing what happens when a little and Daddy meet who are perfect for each other.

If you are new to Nora’s Amazing writing skills but are a fan of m.a. innes then you will love this, so read and then read the rest of Nora’s books you won’t be disappointed

In respect to the audible book, I am wowed as this for me was a prime example of how different reading and listening can be, there were a number of things I missed in the book that I picked up on in this audible and the emotional journey that Raf went on was more intense and emotional in the audible, I found myself crying and heart broken for RAF in the audible that I didn’t experience so intensely in the book, I loved the voices that Kenneth used, so thank you Kenneth from taking a 5 star book and for me turning it into a 6 star book. I can’t wait for the other books Raf and Brendan pops up in coming to audio
