Publisher's summary

Garth Marenghi - Frightenerman, Darkscribe, Doomsage - is back with volume two of his TerrorTome . . .

Horror novelist Nick Steen is abducted and imprisoned at Nulltec, a shadowy technological research facility with excellent conference parking, concealed deep on the Stalkford Downs. There he is observed, tested and 'interfered with' (physically) by a team of scientific experts led by Dr Barbara Nullman, determined to probe and 'nullify' his escaping imagination . . .

Will Nick regain control of his faculties, and crucially his particulars, before everyone, including his erstwhile editor Roz, dies horribly? To find out, you will need to read the book and, more importantly, purchase it.

I can say this much on this blurb (and no more) - not before Nick Steen has faced the ultimate monster. (Don't read the last story first or you'll wreck the entire flow.)

From the word processor (that's correct) of the Archduke O'Darkness, Garth Marenghi - Chief Frightener, Quakerman and Lord High Petrifier - come three new dark tales.

Will ye, too, become the...
Incarcerat...

Footnote: hehehe. Genius.

This book is great. Terrortome is good, very good, great even. But this book, this book is great… this book is what purple prose aspires to be

Amazing!!! Garth Marenghi truly is a groundbreaking author, visionary and dreamweaver, plus actor! The Terrortome series is the best series of books possibly ever!

Marenghi does it again.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but he did it. He bloody did it. Somehow the legendary dreamweaver has successfully outdone himself yet again. Never before have I been more physically, emotionally and spiritually terrified by a work of fiction. Not since reading the gruesome details of the Dean Learner trial or learning of the horrific the discovery of Madeleine Wool (parts of her at least) have I been so disturbed. Truly the most spine chilling work of art ever put to paper, or indeed any other sort of writing material ever devised by humanity to inscribe language in a written form.

worth the wait

This was locked from most regions on release back in the fall, but the wait for U.S. access finally paid off, as the audiobook again makes itself an essential version. Like volume 1, the author expertly arranges a towering pile of literary sins into the mosaic self portraits of an egomaniac. Garth "Blue Fairy of the Macabre" Marenghi pens one of his best works in part 2, in which he gifts the cursed doll subgenre with new life and takes the reader on a self-soiling coastal gothic hell ride.

Hysterical

Matthew Holness is a genius honestly. I can’t wait for the third installment to come out.

Garth does it again

The former Dark Duke of Darkness, now Archduke, knocks it outta the park yet again.

Still Funny, Still Uneven

Like the previous book, you get one brilliant segment, one pretty great segment, and one that’s a lot weaker but still has lots of great gags. The weakest comes first, another story about evil scientists in a locked-down research compound working with psychics against their will. Its main flaw is being too similar to the second half of the previous book. The second story is the best, a goofy take on gothic thrillers. The final segment starts as a great satire of Clive Barker’s Candyman and Ramsey Campbell’s Mackintosh Willy, but goes back to the overused evil scientists stuff and bogs down in the second half. If he keeps writing and recording these, and I really hope he does, I hope he drops the evil scientist stories because it was already overdone last time.

Garth Delivers

Garth Marenghi has done it again. A spine tingling thriller that will leave you unable to sleep for weeks. Nick Steen has brought his skill and cunning to a situation that few would ever survive. A fresh set of characters that are even better than the first book. I imagine a sound studio full of voice actors because that is what it would take. The budget for this recording must have been huge. Thank you Garth Marenghi. Your daughter is lucky to be your kin.

Best use of sewage and an encyclopedic knowledge of plumbing.

The dreamweaver strikes again with his usual insanity. Garth Merenghi is, without question, the ultimate writer of horror fiction. One can easily see where hacks like Steven King, Klyve Barker, Ayn Rice and Shirlhee Jackson have stolen from the master of terror to further their own anemic careers.

Entertaining from beginning to end

Mr. Marenghi’s adventures do not disappoint. I was completely entertained through out the reading. My only criticism is that the book came to an end and I am now forced to wait for more.
