Publisher's Summary

Sienna Edwards, a trained Hetaria, thought she’d had it all in hand, following in her father’s footsteps. Yet the highly trained shape-shifter could not be prepared for the vampire that was destined to cross her path.

Nicolaus had been around for countless centuries, but his encounter with Sienna could only be described as one of a kind. Now, can the two rely on one another to make it through the demon infestation?

Great story!

Game of Truth was an enjoyable action-pack urban fantasy with heavy paranormal romance elements. A lot happens in the story, the premise, world-building, and the characters are fascinating. Sienna is a trained, capable, and fierce panther-shifter who taken over her father's place in the council. Nicolaus, a breathtaking ancient vampire, and Sienna's natural enemy end up working closely together. There is definitely an undeniable attraction between Sienna and Nicolaus with scorching chemistry.

Katrina Payne has a pleasant voice and very easy to follow. I thought she did an excellent job with the narration; however, the male voices weren't deep enough. Overall, this was an enjoyable listen!

Passable PNR

Vampires were created from a Witch? Hmmm... Shifters and Vamps are at war, yeah, I can get behind that. But, Demons are the enemies of both so Strange Bedfellows! This "insta-love" PNR is passable, with some quirky sentence structure and dialog (internal and otherwise). Narration in the Audible version is good, especially with said dialog. All-in-all, it's OK!

Good Story

I really enjoyed this book, the author is not one I have read or heard of before. The story flows well and has a lot of action. I will be looking into other books by this author. I think that the narrator could have done better on the male voices, she needed to sound a little deeper. The main characters had similar backgrounds as far as the pain in their lives that drew them together. The author did not tell everything that they went through all at once but drew it out to keep you interested.
