Publisher's summary

Artist Samantha Cartwright arrives in Cat’s Paw Cove for a visit with her great Aunt Emma, hoping to get clarity about Emma’s cryptic prediction. Instead, Sam finds out she must mind her aunt’s metaphysical shop while Emma is away on vacation. The temporary job proves impossible for Sam because unlike Emma, Sam possesses no magical powers. Lucky for her, tall, dark, and handsome help enters the shop just in the nick of time.

Eli Kincaid managed to get on the bad side of a ruthless loan shark. Now his life depends upon his ability to con an innocent woman out of the only thing of value she owns - a precious jewel she inherited. If he can get close to Sam, maybe he can figure out where she’s keeping the gem. What he hadn’t counted on was falling for his mark. Can he escape the web of deception and protect Sam as sinister forces close in on both of them?

Cute Cozy Romance with a Paranormal Twist

This is the third book in the Cat's Paw Cove series. These books are best described as cozy romances with a cat-themed paranormal twist. In this quick installment, Samantha Cartwright is an out of work artists, raised by a carnie mother with psychic powers, she returns home to Cat's Paw Cove to stay temporarily with her aunt. To her surprise her aunt is away and she must take care of her aunts herb shop, something she knows nothing about. Eli Kincaid shows up to help her. Little does she know that Eli is there to steal a magical brooch she recently inherited from her mother. Eli is forced into obtaining the brooch by a gangster whom he tried to run out of debt on. Eli and Samantha grow increasingly closer, but will she be able to overcome her fear of everyone running out on her?

The Cat's Paw Cove series has a dash of cats a bit of magic and romance in the air. Very enjoyable cozy, clean reads.

Rebecca Winder does a credible job narrating the story with good voicing of the characters.

Recommended for a quick enjoyable read.

Enjoyable listen

I do love a good romantic comedy. I like to read (or listen) to books in order, but that is not necessary with this book. You can start with this, book 3, and not be lost or missing information. This is the perfect summer read.

Sweet Romance

This was a good listen. It was pretty clean and the romance was not over the top. I’m glad it was a short listen because the main character, Sam, spent too much time doubting herself because of a bleak childhood and wrong choices made of previous boyfriends. Thee wasn’t real depth to the story. The narrator was good but she seemed to have a Slavic accent even though I I think their location was somewhere in the south. I would recommend this listen to anyone that wanted a short, but cute story.
