Book 2 was better than the first!!

I had a hard time getting into book one. But I got to say book 2 was better than the first! Paulette finds her self stuck in the future while her friends are trying to find A way to get her back. Can’t help but root for her happiness. Part of you doesn’t want her to find a way to get back. Can’t wait for the next book! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Woohoo book 2

Omg this is so good! Love this story. Paulette is stuck in the future and can’t get home. She has found love and settled in to a simple existence. When she hears about a city of technology she feels the pull to go and see if they can help her get back to the past. With a group from her settlement she and her (spoiler) husband go off on a journey to find it. With a lot of missteps and almost dying they just keep going. I don’t want to give anything else away. I will say as a reader you are right not to trust the people in the city of technology. Oh and Bo makes a return to the story.
Narration by Krista Nicely was well done. Enjoyed her a lot.

Excellent!

I am loving this series. Paulette Brown figures out how to travel in time and gets stuck in an apocalyptic future. She's heard that there is a city which still has technology so she sets out to find this city to see if she can get back home. Meanwhile, back home, her friends Greg and Susan are trying to figure out a way to get Paulette home from their end.

Normally I am not a fan of changing narrators in the middle of a series, but I think it was a good call this time. I wasn't a fan of the first narrator. Krista Nicely is a much better for for this series!

better than book 1

while the writing style has improved slightly (not so much useless info that is not relevant to the story). it is still pushing the liberal mindset which I can do without

Action packed addition to a great time travel set

Like the first book, this one defies being forced into a convenient niche, which is really a positive attribute. Journey to the City of Technology really delves in the post-apocalyptic world where Paulette is stranded. The action and descriptions of the geography really kept this story flowing and kept me engrossed. Once again Krista Nicely does an excellent job of bringing the story to life.

Trapped In The Future

Paulette now trapped in the future must adapt and accept her situation. Life is much different in this new world. New friends and dangers. But there may be hope in the city that seems to be only a myth. Can she find help or will she find a world she wished she could forget?
