Full Body Check - Grace and Brewer

This was a pretty good book. Brewer, a hockey player falls for Grace, a teacher. I did not care for Kae Denino but Blake Stanton did a good job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great Story & Narration🎧 Sweet & Spicy🔥

I enjoyed this smoking hot, sports romance, S.E. Hall packed an impressive amount of story into this short novella sized book, I would love to see her expand on it to make it longer. The story is well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. This is a fast paced quick moving romance, an instant attraction turned instant love. Brewer Hayes, hockey is all about the game, never losing focus while on the ice and in the zone, that is until he sees her. Gracelyn “Grace” Bolton was finally able to get to away to see her friend Nikki who has been trying to get her to come up and go with her to a hockey game. Her first hockey game and she can see what Nikki’s fascination was with the game, the hunky players, then she sees him, they lock eyes and see so much. Brewer loses her in the crowd but does not give up on finding her again. I liked how it all played out, the story is nicely plotted and there is never a dull moment. This is a great book to spend the afternoon with, it is an entertaining, enjoyable, smoking hot romance. Thank you S.E. Hall for the great story!

🎧📚🎧 And for the terrific narration, Kai Denino and Blake Stanton are talented narrators and voice artists. They did a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions and personality. They took each role and made it their own sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Both were great covering the secondary characters as well. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen🎧

over all good, but Chapter issue

The story is good and I enjoyed, however at Chapter 9, the book replays Chapter 6 over again. It's a little confusing

This was a quick insta-love story about a professional hockey player and a 3rd grade teacher. Brewer and Gracie “meet” when he looks up through the glass and sees her rink side at his hockey game. The chemistry is off the charts between the two. Do they allow this to become more even though both are hesitant?

As I said, this was a quick listen and I enjoyed it despite the technical hiccup in Chapter 5. The narrators voices and cadence were pleasant to listen to. Definitely worth a listen if you’re short on time.

I like many of S.E. Halls books, and possibly would have enjoyed this one more if it didn’t bounce around so much. Not only was chapter 5 messed up like many others complained of but it did the story back and forth threw out. Made it difficult to follow, and frustrating to try and understand what was going on.

Could’ve been great

I was given this book in return of my honest opinion. This was a new author for me and both new narrators. This book started off great, Insta love!! I really enjoy hockey themed books. However, this book felt like it jumped around a lot and was a bit confusing. Thinking..... weren’t they already in bed.... but now they are just coming to his house? There is definitely an issue with chapter 5, it repeats a part of an earlier chapter. This novella I think had so much potential but with the issue in chapter 5 and then the story seemed very scattered, it was a bit disappointing. It did have a HEA and was cute. I did really like the narrators. The male had a great voice!!

I received this book for my honest review.
I wanted to really enjoy this book but I found it difficult to follow at times. I like books that change perspectives but I found it confusing when they would switch and be at the same time frame of the story. I would have liked to have seen the couple date as well. I did really like the male narrator.
Overall it was just okay.

Instant attraction without subterfuge!

Brewer and Gracelyn’s instant attraction morphs very quickly into a relationship of epic proportions. What I like most about the interaction between them is that both are bluntly honest with one another, in spite of Gracie’s quirkiness. But stranger things have happened, especially in today’s world of subterfuge, entrapment and gold diggers!! I also loved the inability of her bestie to keep her secret thereby making what Gracie really wanted obtainable!! Both Kae Denino and Blake Stanton were new narrators to me and did a good job with their performances. The only thing I didn’t like was that half of chapter 5 repeats its in the storyline.

Hot, sweet, quick listen

This was my first listen by not only this author but also the narrator‘s and I was very happy with the listen. It is a quick listen and has an HEA, which I love!

I think there might be an issue with the audio to the extent that one chapter is repeated I believe it was chapter 5 but beyond that it was a very quick easy and enjoyable listen.

An enjoyable read

This story is short steamy and wonderfully engaging. I enjoyed it from start to finish. I will be checking out more books from this author.

Short Novella

This was my first S.E. Hall's book. Gracelyn (Gracie) and Brewer's short novella is fun, sexy, and sweet. Kae Denino and Blake Stanton did a good job with the narration.
