Perfection!

I’m 50 and absolutely fell in love with this stories collection! The backstories, motives, and intricate world details makes me appreciate the HP world even more. I already own both audiobook versions, and am looking forward to the dramatized version now more than ever because of the audio quality of this book. It also makes me wish JKR would go back into this world and write more.

I need a volume 2!

This was great!!! I'd read some of this on Pottermore years ago but it's great for them all to be in a collection. I hope they do more of these deep dives into the characters of Harry Potter.

This was just what I needed! I was smiling all the way through. Just when my children thought they could not out do each other my daughter beat them out telling me about this book. And to top it off my favorite character was a narrator could not be more happier. Thank for turning off my tv for 2 days 😂

Great material, sound effects unnecessary

If you are a fan of the Harry Potter books, you will absolutely love diving back into the storylines and nostalgia of the original series, and appreciate the books coming alive again. I TRULY enjoyed JK’s footnotes, they were an added bonus. The only thing I did not appreciate were several moments when the sound effects overtook the sound of the male narrator, especially when the book content is so well written and tastefully done, the sound effects add nothing. There were a couple times that one of the female narrator’s (not Lynch) mispronounced a few common words, so I hope I understood what was being said. Rather than listen again, I hope to purchase the book in print instead (if it’s ever released). Good job JK!

Is there a version without sound effects??

I love it but... I keep thinking things are creeping around me from those background noises 😅
