Publisher's Summary

Two broken omegas and one hard-edged alpha…three men who are stronger than they think...especially when they trust each other enough to be vulnerable.

A pair of omegas who are everything to each other...not only are they best friends, they’re also lovers. In all the years that they’ve been on the streets fighting to survive, they’ve had one end goal: to one day find an alpha strong enough to love both of them equally.

An alpha without a purpose...

Since his return to civilian life, Beaumont has yet to reconnect with society. Instead, he spends his nights running from nightmares and memories of war. While out on one of his nightly wanderings, the alpha catches sight of two of the prettiest angels he’s ever seen. Intrigued, he follows them home… only to find them taking refuge on a filthy, discarded mattress in an abandoned warehouse.

Three broken men who can heal each other’s wounds...

Beau goes from stalker to protector in the blink of an eye when his angels need him to intervene in a bad situation. Before he realizes it's happening, life as he knows it changes to become something new and precious.

Lukas is the protector. He’s tough, snarky, and would happily give his own life if necessary to protect his Gid. Time and time again, he’s proven his strength by rescuing Gideon from would-be attackers. Now he needs to find the courage to let go and trust Beau to protect them all.

Sweet, angelic Gideon is used to being protected and adored. None of the horrible things in his life seem to affect him, because at the end of the day, he’s always had Lukas... and that’s all that matters. When the chips are down, can Gid discover his inner strength and step up to be an equal partner in this fragile new triad?

This mmm book contains mpreg, and intended for 18+ listeners. Possible triggers for attempted sexual assault, violence, and breath play kink. Parts of this audiobook are a little darker than you’re used to from Susi Hawke, but an HEA and all the laughs and shmoopy feels that you’d expect are definitely included!

Found in Beaumont

This book was unbelievably steamy, hot and kinky. I was really not expecting it, even though I’m not sure why, because at this point I should really know better with this author, hahaha. Susi never does anything halfway, we always get well thought out stories. But really, it was such a great surprise to get the added kink in this book along with a hot over protective Alpha, Beaumont and two Adorable Omega’s, Lukas and Gideon.

I really liked getting to see all of the differences between Gideon and Lukas. Gideon is very obviously sweet and innocent, and Lukas has a hard edge having to protect Gideon for years from people who want to use and abuse him. They have such and undeniable strong and deep bond together it was refreshing to see them rely on each other against any odds thrown their way. The fact that neither of these Omega’s really realized that they could end up with babies was funny too, Lukas is so overwhelmed, and insecure when it happens I felt really bad for him. But you can really tell that Gideon is ecstatic and loves every part of being a homemaker.

Beaumont is a total stalker. LOL. I don’t care what his excuse is, he is totally stalking Lukas and Gideon right from the start and it’s kind of hilarious and total Karma when he gets more than he bargains for with those two and I love how he is totally called out on his behavior. But his protective instincts when it comes to the two Omega's is spot on and I loved that he would literally do anything to keep them safe. And in turn those two Omegas will do everything they can to make sure that Beaumont knows that he is good enough for love and good enough to be happy in life. All three of these characters were fun, and funny, and really cute together. This was a great book.

The three of these men together make for some seriously kinky play together. Like, Whoa…. I was really not expecting that from these guys. I mean yeah you usually get more fun times when there are three people versus two, but throw in some serious kink and this was off the charts H.O.T. I also really appreciated that this was a full MMM, that all three played evenly together and not just focusing on one or two of them at a time.

Audio – John Solo…. Holy Smokes… This might just be my favorite narration from John yet (and I have a few dozen of his audiobooks at this point) the voices for all three guys was consistently perfect, and seamlessly flowed from one character to the next. He gave us three very different voices for the three very different characters and I absolutely loved this narration. And for those times when the three characters got together, I was blown away by how steamy John made those scenes... Definitely recommend this book in Audio version… You really need to hear the extra emphasis that the narration gives you for this book.

This was great!

I really enjoyed this story. Beau was exactly the alpha that hopeful Gideon and suspicious Lukas needed. He started off as a bit of a stalker, but he was just so sweet and protective, I forgave him for that - especially when he saved Gideon and Lukas from a horrific attack. Beau offered the omegas a home, a family, and an alpha who cared about them more than anything. Gideon was sweet and loving, expecting the best even though his life had not given him that so far. Lukas wanted to make sure Gideon was safe, and he never really hoped for more than the two of them to stay together. Beau had a battle on his hands getting Lukas to trust in him, and his patience was impressive. I loved Beau's brothers, and I'm excited to learn more about them in future books.
The narration was excellent, as I expected. I hope the series stays with this narrator. All around, this was a great audiobook!

Love it!!

Absolutely love this story. Gideon and Lukas, 2 omegas, are great together and when they bring Beau into their relationship as their alpha it is sheer perfection. I love these 3 together, they make a perfect triad and work very well together. They truly help heal one another and Beau is the perfect protector for Gideon and Lukas. Can't wait for the stories of Beau's brothers! The narrator did a great job with all of the characters voices. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

What a great story

When the book first came out, I didn't think it would be one that I'd enjoy, even though Susi's books are almost instant-buys for me. I'm glad I decided to listen to it as I would have missed out on a great story. After listening to this book, I decided to buy and read the second in the series and I can't wait for the third to be released.

Just a heads up, this is an m/m/m mpreg but worth the listen (or read) if you aren't sure if you'd like it.

My favorite character of this story is Gideon. He's sweet and loving but steps up when he's needed and he really grows into his new role (and not just in the belly). I didn't really care for Lukas at first but he grew on me by the end. Beau and his brothers are great and I love how they each got their names. It's a wonderful way to come up with some great characters.

John Solo did a great job narrating this story. With so many characters in the mix, it can seem overwhelming at times to catch all the conversation changes but he made it really easy. I hope he continues to narrate the rest of the series as I think he will do a great job keeping the characters fun and exciting.

Good start to the series

I like Susi Hawke's stories they're fun have a sweet and sassy characters and happy endings. this one has all that and John Solo does a great job differentuating each voice, though personally he got a little silly and over the top with Gideon and Lucas but it settles down as you get further in.

Terrific!

This is a great story, I couldn’t stop listening. The narrator brought the characters to life. I laughed, cried, and laughed some more. The dialogue is witty, the characters complex and believable. I look forward to more in this series.

Enjoyable mmm mpreg romance

This is a new series from Susi Hawke, a favourite author of mpreg, and this is yet another wonderful world that she has created.
Book one in the Lone Star Brothers series follow two omegas, Lukas and Gideon, boyfriends who have lived on the streets for the past few years but are starting to get things together with a new job lined up and the support of their friend Dallas who allows them use of his gym equipment and utilities in exchange for after hours janitorial services. Then we meet Beau. Alpha, retired military, struggling to communicate with those around him and now interested in the two omegas that visit his brother's gym. When an incident occurs bringing the men together, it's something that can bring them all together or pull them apart.
We have three separate MC's and they each bring their own personality traits to the story, endearing them to the reader and each other. Gideon is the home maker, he wants love, a family and a home to call their own to look after. Lukas is an independent thinker, wanting to provide and care for Gideon as he has done most of his life. Beau is someone you can't help but love with everything he went through when in the army and now back home, he's distant with his family and the omegas he longs for. His protective instinct is eventually what brings them together though. The three work well together, though Gideon is easy to love others, Lukas stands firm in needing time to accept another into their world. There are several moments where one or more are in danger and the protective side of the others shine through, proving their worth and love to the others, and themselves. The pregnancy especially, brings not just the three men together but also the rest of the family. It's enjoyable reading the other brothers as they bring a lightheartedness, especially Housten.
Susi does well at drawing us in to the goings on of all of the characters and the relationship between them. You can't help but fall into the story and follow along as our MC's are put through the ringer, physically and emotionally.
I love that we get an introduction to the Beau's brothers, giving us a slight insight as to what we'll be treated to in the future books in the series.
Listening to this story through John's narration is so very enjoyable! He gives us clear, individual voices for Beau, Gideon and Lukas as well as the other brothers in the family. Emotion comes through clearly, both when he's giving us inner monologue and interaction with others. The narration easily pulls you in and brings you closer to the story and the characters, giving you more enjoyment especially of the tense moments and the happy ones. There are many moments that had me smiling and laughing whilst listening and you know a narrator is doing well if they can cause you to enjoy it that much.
I definitely recommend this book and look forward to the next in the series.
