Parts of this book are a little darker than you’re used to from Susi Hawke, but an HEA and all the laughs, naughty-knotty times, and shmoopy feels that you’d expect are definitely included! This book is about 48,000 words.

Strong narrative

The story is excellent! John solo as a narrator is pretty amazing. The man knows his craft.! I’ll prolly finish the rest of the series now

Healthy Relationship

Kyle and Dallas are funny and sweet together. I love that Dallas is focused on health and fitness but doesn't need Kyle to change anything about himself. Dallas wants him just as he is. Kyle isn't used to anyone wanting him like that and finds it hard to believe. I enjoy how his confidence grows over the course of the story. I really love all of Dallas's family and enjoy this series immensely, in large part due to the sibling relationships
The narrator does a good job, though some of the voices and accents seem a little over the top. I'm a Texas girl, though, so I might be a bit harsh. Overall, I did enjoy his performance, as I usually do. (His portrayal of Lucas is still my favorite in this series!)
I've really enjoyed the first two audiobooks in this series, and I look forward to the next.

loving this series

I am so digging this series. The brothers are so cool. While in my opinion, the first book was a tiny bit better, this one was great.

I liked how the author touched on how domestic abuse affects a person's self worth. You would not believe how many people in this day and age still get caught up in abusive situations.

I did smile a lot while listening to this book. I am looking forward to hearing book 3.

Size doesn't matter

I really love this story. Kyle is a big omega but Dallas doesn't care. What he cares about is keeping Kyle safe, happy, and healthy. As an abused omega, Kyle has so little faith in himself and doubts anything good that comes to him, despite Dallas, his brothers, and their friends telling him otherwise.

Dallas has such patience and care with Kyle that it really was just a matter of time until he could convince Kyle of his worth. I'm so glad these two find their happily ever after.

I can't wait for Houston's story because John does such a good job with them and Houston is my favorite of the brothers.

Love this story!

Lost in Dallas is book Two in The Lone Star Brothers series by Susi Hawke. Dallas has been trying to get a date with Kyle for two years. But Kyle doesn't believe a hot Alpha like Dallas would truly desire an omega who looks like him - tall with a little extra on the scale. ...plus Dallas is his boss and Kyle is dating someone already - even though the cop he lives with is an abusive user.
When the abuse goes too far and Kyle lands in the hospital, Dallas offers up his home and friendship. When an unexpected heat takes over Kyle, Dallas also offers up his body... And a surprise awaits them.

Dallas is the loving and sexy Alpha and helps Kyle get stronger and start to love the body he's in. Together they are the perfect mix of sweetness and sexiness. And the other guys in this book are absolutely amazing characters that have you laughing and loving the story.

John Solo does sn amazing job narrating this story. Each character has their own voice which brings them to life for the listener, helps keep track of which character is talking and helps the listener get deep into the story.

I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

Loved it!

I didn't read the first book in the series & will have to remedy that. I wanted more to happen to Fred, other then some jail time :). But I was happy to see that Kyle got a little of his own back in the end. Poor Kyle had such low self esteem and bought Fred's BS hook line & sinker. Dallas was such a sweet loving Alpha who had it bad for Kyle from day one. Kyle works at Dallas' gym and they are friends, even though Dallas wants more. Dallas is very patient & is willing to wait. I loved that Dallas immediately fired the two idiots in the beginning of the story that was making fun of Kyle's weight, if they talked about a co-worker like that, what were they saying about clients. I'm glad he was there for Kyle when he ended up in the hospital after Fred does a number on him. He invites him to come stay with him while Kyle is recovering from his injuries, no strings attached. When Kyle goes into a premature heat, Dallas is there to help him out. I loved that he didn't just jump at the chance to be with Kyle, he made sure that it was what Kyle wanted. I also loved that when Kyle ends up pregnant, Dallas didn't care if he was the bio dad or not, he was going to love the baby as his own anyway. This book is a little darker then Ms. Hawke's normally books dealing with abuse, but it was a really good read. John Solo as always did a great job narrating this story.

Sweet and easy read. Good narrator.

This is a really sweet story of two soft-hearted giants who find comfort and acceptance in each other’s arms.
Kyle is unusually tall and robust for an omega, and being different like that isn’t easy for him. He has an amazingly gentle soul, but dishearteningly low self-esteem, which makes him an easy target for his manipulative and controlling boyfriend, Fred. At first Kyle makes excuses for Fred, even when things are already quite extreme, so that was slightly aggravating...I hated seeing him cling so long to the absolute wrong guy.

Dallas is an all-round great alpha, and he’s very respectful of Kyle’s boundaries. However, this also works against him. He’s so laidback, that Kyle fails to understand just how serious Dallas’s interest in him is.
When things with obnoxious Fred escalate and Kyle needs a safe haven, Dallas is there for him. Things between them progress slowly, with Dallas giving Kyle all the space he needs to regain his confidence and get back on his feet before “making his move” so to speak.

Kyle and Dallas both have a great support system in their family and friends. Houston especially is a colorful and interesting character. I can’t wait to find out his story.

Audio:
John Solo did a great job with the accents and performed all the different characters really well, bringing humor, emotion and tension to the story in the best way. He makes Kyle sound hesitant and sweet, totally what I imagined for this character. One thing I liked a little less was his interpretation of “assertive” Kyle, which to me bordered almost on “aggressive”, but on the whole that was just a minor hiccup in an otherwise great performance.

Great series

I’m really enjoying the Lone Star brothers series. Dallas’ light hearted attitude matched perfectly with Kyle’s somber, self doubting personality. John did a great with the narration as usual.

Strong Omega, Sensitive Alpha

This series is a little different from what I've read from this author before but I am loving it! In this book we get to delve more into the Kyle and Dallas storyline. I will admit that there are some pretty tough issues covered in this book, mainly domestic violence, so if that is a trigger for you proceed with caution. Some of the abuse is on page but it's NOT between the two MCs. To be able to see Kyle survive what he does from that jerk Fred and to be able to create a life for himself is wonderful. Kyle doesn't let his past rule his present and he allows himself to open up to Dallas who has cared about him for a while now. Dallas as an alpha has got to be one of my favorite alpha characters. He has such a tenderness to him that you don't always get to see from a big tough Alpha and it is just so heartwarming. The way Dallas worms himself into Kyle's heart and treats him with love and care will make you swoon. Kyle grows throughout this story into a very strong Omega who isn't afraid to stand up for himself or others which is just one more reason why this book was so great. I love the way this author hints at side story lines throughout leaving you guessing who the next one will be about.

The narration was well done with distinct voices for each character. This narrator does a stellar job of letting the emotions shine through in his work. Always an enjoyable listen.

All the Feels

Your emotions will run the gamit with this one. Your heart will just break for Kyle, then Dallas is so fun and sweet he'll have you feeling the love, while his brothers bring in the humor and have you cracking up. Another fun and mostly happy listen from Susi Hawke and as usual John Solo does a fabulous job giving voice to all the characters and just adds even more to the story.
