Story
Heather Harrison sees ghosts. It's not something she brags about. In fact, she wished she didn't. Communicating (or not communicating) with the dead only leads to heartache, and for her it led to a divorce. For the most part, she's happy being single. She's got a good business, close friends, and a slightly overprotective brother. What more does a 40-something woman need? When her two best friends beg her for help in contacting loved ones, against her better judgment she can't say no to the séance.

Story
The day after my 43rd birthday, my husband announced he was trading me in - his words, not mine. The news was unwelcome at the time, but honestly? I needed a good goosing to get up and find my way to the door. So I was freed from the giant manual of expectations authored by my ex. That was the good news. The flip side was less happy. Due to living in a state not friendly to discarded wives, I was also relieved of the financial "security" I'd spent a lifetime accruing.

Dragon shifter Prince Kyran has studied the Earth people and is ready to assimilate. Female shifters are all but going extinct on his planet of Qurilixen, and his people are desperate for mates - so much so they're taking matters into their own hands. What better place to capture a woman than Earth? After all, dragon shifters had come from there centuries ago. Surely a human female would be honored to be selected by one as fine and fierce as himself.

No one knows this as well as raven shifter Deacon Evermore, who, like everyone in his family, has a curse. While his position as Shadowvale’s peacekeeper lets him use that curse for good, he’d rather live anywhere else. He stays for his family but doubts he can last much longer.

A storm is brewing and so is a budding romance. I've been told I'm a force to be reckoned with. That I blow onto the scene like a tornado. I've stopped caring if that's a compliment or a dig. Now I just wear it like a badge of honor. So when life threw me a curveball and I ended up going from a cushy job in New York City to the tiny Southern town of Grimm Cove, I thought I was ready for anything. Ha! Not quite. You see, Grimm Cove is teeming with supernaturals. And since I've known they exist for a hot minute, I'm still in a state of total shock.

Publisher's Summary
From NYT best-selling author Michelle M. Pillow comes a tragically beautiful love story that defies perception.
When the willfully independent Isabel Drake refuses to marry the man her parents want her to, her mother decides, as punishment, she will be forced to take lessons on how to be a proper lady. But the man sent to instruct her makes her feel anything but proper. Her attraction to Mr. Weston is instant, but the confusing man seems set in keeping her in her place - even if she detects he feels something for her?
But things are not what they seem at Rothfield Park or with her new tutor. With Mr. Weston’s arrival, there comes an abundance of unrested spirits. Suddenly, Isabel doesn’t know who is alive and who is dead.
Why have they come now? And what are they trying frantically to tell her? Isabel must discover the truth about the eerie night mist that surrounds the manor before it comes to claim everyone she holds dear - including her Mr. Weston.
Praise for Forget Me Not:
"If you enjoyed books like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Mr. Darcy, or 'Vampyre', then Forget Me Not should give you plenty of ghostly pleasure. If you’re a fan of television shows like The Ghost Whisperer or films like The Sixth Sense, you’ll also find more enjoyable modern spins on ghosts and the Gothic in these pages. After you finish Forget Me Not, I suspect you will want to read more of Michelle Pillow’s novels - fortunately, she has written plenty in both the romance and paranormal genres." Desperately romantic adventure
Yes l loved this beautiful and sometimes tragically heart-rending romance. Set within the mystery of death hands, life's gifts and aged twisted mysteries, this happy ever after will keep you enthralled until the last word. Recommended 5 stars. Narration was perfectly done and contributed to the success of this story.

Regency ghost
Audiobook review...
The narrator Rebecca Cook did a great job narrating this book. Her inflection was great and difference in the voices good.
The story...
What did I like? This is such a fanciful story with ghosts and stuff. I’m not a huge fan of regency ghost stories and tend to avoid them but offered to trial an audio. 17th anniversary and I’ll bet that many years ago this story would have been all the rave. Now... people want bully romance or alien.
Would I recommend or buy? This is only my second book by the author and a pleasant one just not a genre I enjoy. If you enjoy ghost regency novels then this would be for you. Three and a half stars!

Wrong genre for me
I’m giving this four stars because I truly believe if paranormal regency was my thing I would love it. It has a good story line, has plot twist, some but not a lot of heat and some feel moments that will get you. As this is my first regency novel it’s not my thing. The terms, the pace, and just the overall feel is more historical romance and rarely do I find one I truly enjoy. The narrator did a fine job with accents and demure reflection. The writing and plot line is good so I am giving it for stars because if it’s a genre I love I am pretty sure I would have given it five glowing stars. The author does a great job creating and maintaining the world in which she is writing in!

Another Great Listen
Isabel refuses to marry the man her parents wish her to marry. Then Isabel meet a tall, dark and handsome man of her dreams. I not one for regency gothic romance but this one wasn't all that bad. Isabel is a likable character and the way the parents expect her to enter an arranged marriage is just angers me. It seems very much Jane Austen-ish. Michelle M. Pillow's romances are very well written and i believe reading one of her books will not be a disappointment.

Michelle M. Pillow did a fabulous job of combining Historical/Period and Paranormal together. This e-book/audiobook was a joy to read. A very interesting and unique paranormal romance story, Forget Me Not provides readers/ listeners with hours of entertainment. I will not spoil the story by commenting on why it is unique, but it was a nice twist on the dead. The characters are likable and entertaining and the storyline is interesting. The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. i love this book
I would have normally read this book in a day as i greedily wanted to know what was going on, but i forced myself to put it down and drag it for a few days because i didn't want it to end. It has all the components that make this sort of books the perfect read for me: mystery, suspense, love passion, unexpected twists, sadness, happiness. I sensed and appreciated great literature masterpieces influences to this beautiful work, like "little women", "pride and prejudice", "Jane Eyre", "the portrait of Dorian Gray". Influences that are so very subtle and do not steal anything from this original brilliant work Michelle created. It was a pleasure to read A to Z. The characters were very believable and the story well written, so that everything makes sense exactly when it needs to.
In regards to the Audio version of this book, i must say that Rebecca is a brilliant reader and her voice generally suits historical novels, she has a wide range of tones and her narration timing is impeccable. unfortunately though i didn't think she was the best choice to give life to a 21 years old rebellious girl. Her voice is too mature to represent a young woman. She was brilliant in performing the other roles.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

All the Feels and More.
I read the book back in November and have been eagerly awaiting this audiobook. And wow, what an amazing telling of the story. Rebecca Cook’s English accents were spot on and she brought all the characters to life in such a believable way! Isobel and Dougal’s story is heart wrenching and the ending is just so emotional! A definite favourite of mine that I will be returning to time and time again! Five stars all round!
