What follows is a roller-coaster ride of misadventures - both serious and hilarious. Scott's search for riches comes to a head when he meets a professional treasure hunter from Key West who has located one of Blackbeard's sunken ships in the marsh outside of Savannah, Georgia. Racing to join the treasure hunter, Scott stops in his tracks when he encounters the one person in the world who could keep him from finding the treasure.

Confusing
The story was interesting and a little avant-garde. So many characters pop up and it's hard to keep Track of who's who. The story goes from extreme realism to total fantasy with no Smooth transition. Some of it actually being very disgusting, I could've skipped it if it wasn't a book club book.

Not at all what I expected
To put it simply, the book is written in an odd way that just did not hook me. I finished it, and the ending was okay, I guess. I was also not a fan of the way everything was over detailed.
