Publisher's summary

He's a hot single dad. A military man with abs of steel. My brother's best friend. My biggest enemy. And now my fake date to my best friend's wedding. Disasterville, here we come....

Mission: Survive my best friend's wedding, where I must play nice with my ex and his perfect new girlfriend.

Strategy: Bring the hottest fake boyfriend on the planet.

Target: Grady Rock. Master baker. Dimples. Muscles. The unicorn of fake boyfriends.

Complication: Wyatt Morgan. My brother's best friend. My sworn enemy. Military man. Sexy as hell single dad. The man I let into my panties for one night of hot hate sex after my ex dumped me.

And the man who just scared off that perfect fake boyfriend.

By pretending to be my real boyfriend.

I can roll with this though. What’s the harm in Flirting with the Frenemy if it helps me get the job done?

Complete my mission and move on.

Or so I thought.

Until Wyatt kisses me again and I start feeling things I shouldn't.

The thing about weddings...nothing ever goes as planned.

Flirting with the Frenemy is a rollicking fun romantic comedy featuring a single dad military man, an irritatingly attractive blast from his past, pirates, cursing parrots, and a wedding gone wild. It stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers.

Love it!!

This is the kind of story I love! Brilliant flirty conversation disguised as insults, strong and independent girl, adorable little boy, hot brothers best friend, and a pirate themed wedding! I felt the chemistry between the 2 characters without it being forced. Loved all the supporting characters and couldn’t stop the smile on my face through the whole story!

I need a pirate festival!

Oh my goodness gracious! I loved the digital copy of this book, and I loved the audio even more! Wyatt and Ellie are so great! I loved the vulnerability they both struggled with, the pure emotion as they tried to navigate a tricky relationship. Great story!

Decent story

The writing was good, the story was pretty good, except the cause of the angst was pretty ridiculous. The male narrator was good, but the female narrator drags out the last word of every sentence, which is annoying.

Fun & Flirty

My first book from Pippa Grant and I couldn’t stop laughing. Weddings, pirates and hot chemistry oh my. Oh yes the ridiculous of the week of wedding activities was hilarious but nothing I have ever read before and was completely entertaining.

I love Erin Mallon and the way she voices a book add in Joe Arden and the two of them together made the experience so much better. They brought this funny story to life. To be honest if I hadn’t listened to this it wouldn’t have been as enjoyable.

This was your typical rom-com but with a little flare. It was a fun and flirty story with a little mix of drama and lots of chemistry. I really look forward to diving into more books from Pippa in the future.

A delightfully steamy enemies to lovers romance!😍❤️

This was such a sweet and steamy enemies to lovers romance.
Wyatt and Ellie were absolutely amazing! Their chemistry was intense and palpable.
The banter was so much fun and exciting.

Erin Mallon and Joe Arden are some of my favorite narrators which made this all the more enjoyable to listen to.

I really like the story, but...

I was really enjoying the story but the language is so bad, I just couldn't get through it.
I'll never understand WHY a talented author would put so much (useless) profanity in a novel. It's one thing to use it for the "shock factor" but to use the "F bomb" over and over and over is senseless.
I've never, EVER heard anyone say "I would have enjoyed that book much more if it had more vulgar profanity in it".
There is never anything classy about vulgar profanity.

RomCom that has it all!

I have been on a huge Pippa Grant streak lately and it's been great. Flirting with the Enemy has so many different tropes rolled into one... brothers best friend, enemies to lovers and single dad romance! This one didn't have the slapstick humor I have come to love with Pippa Grant books but there were still plenty of funny scenes in Shipwreck! Ellie and Wyatt were great together; Ellie was alway goal driven until an accident left her reeling six months earlier and Wyatt was dealing with a rough divorce and missing out on time with his son. The chemistry and attraction between them was obvious but I loved watching them try to fight it and find excuses as to why they shouldn't be together.
Joe Arden and Erin Mallon are two of my favorite narrators, I will listen to anything narrated by them!

quirky and hilarious story!

Sweet story of a kick@$$ girl and the guy that she’s always fought from childhood.. The line between love and hate is thin...will Ellie and Wyatt cross that line? Love all the bonus epilogues!

Oh my lord

This one is just everything, how can an enemies to lovers book be so funny? This was easily one of the funniest and most amazing books I have listened to this year.

Pirates, parrots & enemies who become much more

Funny funny book, long time enemies with a history become lovers, there's pirates, goats a parrot that walks the plank, fun characters, a cute kid a wedding, The pace is great, I listened to it this time and the narrators make it fun but it works both ways ;)

Book 1 in the bro-code and has a hint of book two in the epilogues. I'm off to read that next.

Enemies from childhood fall in love 💕

Ellie and Wyatt have always been at each others throats but when they both face an emotional trauma sparks of attraction suddenly flare up. Unfortunately there's unpleasant consequences.
The constant witty banter between Ellie and Wyatt had me stitches along with their friends and family. The narrator did a fabulous job of bringing all the characters to life and I highly recommend this audiobook 💕💕💕 I am looking forward to the next instalment of this series.

I am really struggling with both narrators voices, especially when they are narrating the opposite sex.

Brilliant story! Nearly split my sides laughing

Was skeptical to begin with as tge story sample appears to present tge book, the story as sonetging bland and boring.
However as I started listening I could not stop laughing and even wishing the town was real so that I could visit it myself.
of course the sad moments were just as vividly described thus bringing a few moments of sadness.
But an in all this is a book worth listening to and it will be delight fir those who do.

When Annoyance Turns Into Love

Title: Flirting with the Frenemy
Author: Pippa Grant
Format: Audio
Narrator: Erin Mallon and Joe Arden
Genre: Romantic Comedy, enemies to lovers, second chance, brother's best friend, fake relationship, military (air force), single dad
Standalone: Yes
Part of a Series: Book 1 of Bro Code
POV: Ellie and Wyatt
Steam Level: Toasty
5/5

I love Pippa Grant so when I got the opportunity to pick up some of her audiobooks I jumped at the chance. I read an ARC of Flirting with the Frenemy and bought (but haven't reread the published version) so this is the first time I read/heard the bonus epilogues - yes there are multiple, yes I loved them all.

Flirting with the Frenemy is sweet and funny and sexy and emotional where disaster strikes when desires take hold. I love how strong and independent Ellie is, how protective Wyatt is and how adorable Tucker is. Add in a foul-mouthed parrot who walks the plank, a pirate wedding in a small, mountain town, and a set up by Ellie's brother and Wyatt's best friend and you get a story that will leave you smiling. Flirting with the Frenemy is just as good the second time around.

I love Joe Arden's voice but Erin Mallon has a vocal fry that annoys me. I tried to tune it out and was partially successful.

I received this audiobook for free from the author. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Frenemies to lovers

Omgoodness I freakin love this book. The characters are great. I absolutely love Wyatt’s son, Tucker. I smiled or laughed through almost the entire book. They have known and made each other crazy since they were kids. The narration was great. I definitely recommend this book, I will definitely be listening again.

Not hot but sexy

This is a romantic story about people who have grown up together. They teased each other, trying to be better than the other. Then they realised they were more than friends.
I smiled and laughed in places, especially some of the things coming out of the mouth of the little boy.
There are a few hot moment, however this story is more about enemies becoming frenemies.
