The first 2 were much better

This is much better than the Moxie book because, well, no Moxie. So annoying.
The narration is less annoying here as well, and allows Fletch's dry humor to come through. I dislike the man's voice for women.

Again Flynn is mentioned. I'm sad, not sad that there's no Flynn. Sad because I like him better than Fletch, not sad because the narration of Flynn's voice is so disappointing. The narration in the actual Flynn books is tremendous, and this here is a real let down.

Finally!

I love the Fletch stories, but get sick and tired of all the gratuitous, flippant, and totally unnecessary sex scenes. This book had none of that. It had all the great story line and hilarious dialog with none of the smut. Fantastic! I have several more to listen to, but this is the best in the Fletch series so far.

Fletch is a little more establishment on this book

Fletch is a little more establishment on this book. His Lieutenant from Vietnam recruits him to be the press secretary for his father, a presidential candidate. The campaign is plagued by the murder of several young women. Fletch feels compelled to figure out who the murderer is. The press corps is a true group of characters.

Long winded

Good story for the most part but very long winded I advanced the 30 second button a lot

Worth the listen

I am really starting to enjoy these FLETCH stories. They are all uniquely different and really entertaining.

Darker than usual

The plot gets quite grim but the quality of the plotting and writing is undiminished Still entertaining and well narrated.

The Mystery is not mysterious

Unlike the other Fletch books, this one has little mystery at all. No suspense. It was a foot note. The other volumes I’ve read are much better!! The Fletch series is good but skip the Man Who

A fun, fast Fletch read. The humorous and snappy writing readers expect from McDonald. A quick summer-listen.

Good Story

This is another solid Fletch story with a mix of humour and detective work. very enjoyable.

Not the best Fletch

A typically compelling Fletch, more thriller than comedy though. Insightful about journalism and American election campaigns, but lacking the joy of the earlier novels. Sloppily produced, with far too many lines misread. With material this dialogue-heavy, someone has to pay constant attention to which character is being voiced. Blackstone Audio is not interested in quality, alas, just cranking 'em out.

Interesting

The usual murder romp but this time the context was key and took over from the plotting.
