Publisher's Summary

I become whatever they want. Whatever they need.

Seattle Chief of Detectives Mort Grant is still reeling from losing his daughter - again. When Allie first walked back into his life, breaking years of silence, he could hardly believe his luck. And after hearing her story, Mort tried to do everything in his power to keep her safe. The only person he trusted with Allie's life was The Fixer. But, for the first time, The Fixer let him down.

Now Mort has been called in on a gruesome murder case: a beautiful young woman found in a ravine, her body riddled with stab wounds. Within 24 hours, the police uncover a snuff film depicting her murder, the killer's face always just out of shot. When a second body and video are discovered, Mort knows this is no ordinary case.

From a chain of sleazy payday loan shops to the dark underworld of the sex-slave trade, Mort's chasing a twisted menace to hell and back. But he's not the only one. Once again, The Fixer is on the hunt - and she's desperate to make things right.

The Fixer, psychologist Lydia Corriger, Book 4!

And of course Seattle Detective Mort Grant, the man who knows her secret, joins Lydia in another case. This novel is about the world Mort's daughter has been forced into. The publisher's summary for Fixed in Blood gives the correct amount of information to set up the novel, so I will not repeat it. Fixed in Blood was released in audio format this week.

Author and clinical psychologist T. E. Woods has apparently finished the six novel Justice/Fixer series set in Seattle, but the final two novels are not yet available in audio. She has now moved on to her Hush Money series set in Madison, Wisconsin where she lives and has her psychologist practice. Hush Money was released in ebook format four months ago. Bad Girl, the second novel in the Hush Money series, will be released in ebook format in March, 2018.

Woods is obviously a very talented author of suspense mystery /thrillers. All four of her audio novels are solid 5 star winners. Christina Delaine does a great job of narration.

Each novel in the Justice/Fixer is standalone, but they are best listened to in order written. This series has my highest possible recommendation.

The Fixer and Mort together again!

Oh my! This book grabs you from chapter one, no make that from paragraph one and it pulls you right in.
A young woman is getting ready for her daughter's birthday the next day when a man she owes money to with a store front loan shop (Right Now Finance) calls and says he has a prostitution job for her that will wipe out her debt. Against her better judgment she goes. This author sets up a foreboding scene and you know the woman's apprehension was valid.
After her body is discovered the money man who made the arrangements is berated by the woman who supplies the women. She's mad that he got one of her women murdered. She's trying to "help" them, she says they're women who fell on hard times not whores.
When murder films begin showing up Detective Mort Grant is on the case.
Meanwhile , Dr. Lydia Corriger has a patient who owes money to the same man. She calls Lydia in the wee hours and tells her that she's being sold to clear her debts. She said "they're sending her away". Of course Lydia aka the Fixer has to do her own investigation.
Eventually Mort's and Lydia's investigations collide and the two former friends finally reconcile. Again they team up to catch a killer.
This is a very well written book. Easy to read and fast paced with high tension as the heroes race to catch a killer before he takes another woman's life.
I would suggest listening to these books in order.
Christina Delaine does an outstanding job narrating.
This book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Love this Series!

This is such a great series. I love it.

Lydia's character is awesome, and I love Mort too. I really enjoy the twists and turns that occur in these stories. The Fixer always gets her bad guy. There is some really great dialogue throughout the entire book. The story line and plot are great. Exciting and entertaining for sure.

Great psychological mystery. Oh my that Allison is a piece of work........ I will say no more on dear daughter Allison Grant.

As for the narration, its fantastic. Christina Delaine is awesome. Love the voice she uses for Lydia is awesome. She does a great job on the male voices and reads with emotion as called for.

She's back!!!

In Bood 3 I was getting a little worried that The Fixer was getting a little mild mannered. Well done, the hard core vigilante is back!

Keeps getting better and better

I think this may be my favorite 2nd favorite fixer after the first one of course. I was a little underwhelmed with the ending of the last fixer BUT this ending was more up the Fixers alley. The performance was remarkable and my hat goes off to Mrs/Ms. Delaine. The story was amazing and really captured my full imagination. Can’t wait for the next book.

Great job Mr. Woods!

FIXED IN BLOOD

Another excellent book for "THE FIXER!" The major characters are the same, however, things start to heat up once Mort's daughter comes into the mix. There have been hints of her here and there, but apparently now intends to stay. What a ride! 😀💶💴💰💵. Excellent story, have already downloaded the last two books. Oh, and by the way, THE NARRATOR IS EXCELLENT!!!!
