Fun and Flirty Romcom!
Five-Alarm Kisses by Minette Lauren is book 2 in the Hot in Magnolia series. I absolutely loved Raphe and Nina's story! This story was fun, steamy, and once again left me with the biggest grin on my face. This is one of those books that just makes your heart so happy!
Raphe Nash is the new captain of Magnolia's Fire Department, and he has had quite the fiery past on the job and with women...Nina has had some tragedy in the past and has moved to Magnolia to stay with her cousin for a while to get back on her feet. When her and Raphe meet for the first time, the spark between them is hard to resist, and resist Nina does, but not for long...
Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor narrate this audio, and once again they are so fantastic. Jason's performance of Raphe is so swoony and charismatic. He makes you love Raphe even more. Samantha's narration of Nina is so great; you could feel all of Nina's doubts, and then her confidence to let Raphe love her. Both also do an amazing job of really bringing out the unique personalities of all the citizens of Magnolia.
I'm looking forward to Double Trouble Kisses next!

Great story - great fun
Having now listened to both books in this series I find myself hard pressed to be able to select which of the two I liked more; this story is fun to read with several nice twists and fun characters to follow; as before the narration is great.
So which of the two books do I like most? Well ... as I wait for the next audible in the Hot in Magnolia series “double trouble kisses” I select them both!

grab the fire extinguisher for this one!!
I'm really loving this series by Minette. The series is narrated by the talented Samantha Brentmoor & Jason Clarke.
This book is mostly about Raphe Nash ( brother to Riley from book 1). He is a fireman who transferred to Magnolia after a serious fire almost took his life.
While he's adjusting to small town living he's been quite the ladies man and has been banned from dating any of Melvina's employees after things went south with one of her waitresses.
Lo and behold, he meets the snarky and closed off Nina. Now let me say I really dislike her character... a lot! I warmed up to her in the end, but I still think Raphe is too good to her, even though he was a player until he meets Nina. Lol!
However, what I love most about this book is that we get 2 for 1HEAs!!
Nina becomes besties with the new town librarian, Bonnie, who along with her crazy aunt, really bring the comedic aspect to this small town rom-com!
I laughed at so many parts to this book, especially with Bonnie and Rosie!! I mean, honestly, they need their own little side novella!!
All in all I'm thoroughly enjoying this fun, sweet, spicy series!!
