Story
The post of Head Girl of Whitehall looks fantastic on anyone's resume. It places the lucky winner on equal terms to the staff, granting them authority, power, and responsibility that no other student can even dream of possessing. Naturally, Emily doesn't want it. But when she returns to Whitehall for her sixth and final year, she discovers that the staff has elected her to the post - and refusal isn't an option. Reluctantly, she starts to carry out her new duties, unaware that deadly enemies are waiting in the shadows, preparing themselves to strike at her when her back is turned.

Story
Elaine is an orphan girl who has grown up in a world where magical ability brings power. Her limited talent was enough to ensure a magical training, but she's very inexperienced and was lucky to get a position working in the Great Library. Now, the Grand Sorcerer - the most powerful magician of them all - is dying, although initially that makes little difference to Elaine; she certainly doesn't have the power to compete for higher status in the Golden City. But all that changes when she triggers a magical trap....

It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

John Doc Henry had been on the shortest, crappiest end of the stick since the first day of his life; no parents, bad foster parents, and abysmal luck at every turn. The day his life changed started out exactly like he had come to expect. His car died on a rarely traveled road, and he broke his toe shortly after dodging the one other car on the road. When it stopped and backed up to him, the license plate read “LADYLUK”, adding insult to injury.

Story
After his town is put to the sword and the children are taken to replace the fallen, an old man is out for revenge. He’s ready to fail at the most difficult challenge in the world: cultivation. Too corrupted to even take the first steps, the sly old elder simply agreed with those who told him that it was impossible. Then, he quietly ignored them, rubbed his hands together, and started anyway. He had always failed in what he did. The only thing that had never failed him was his sharp mind and philosophy. He would cultivate...no matter what it cost him.

Just one semester until graduation, and I died saving a little girl. This wasn't the end, though, as a deity chose me to save another world. I woke up in the body of Kupiec Aiden, in a world where magic was real. Unfortunately, unlike many isekai novels I've read, I retained none of his memories, and had to learn everything. His family took me in, and I recovered from his sickness before learning about magic, or Aether as they called it.

Publisher's Summary
The war is over. But the scars remain.
Emily's New Learning has been good for Beneficence. In the years since she arrived on the Nameless World, the city has been at the forefront of technological advancement and social development. Thousands of newcomers are moving to the city, railways span the gorge and drive into Zangaria, the first steamboats are plowing the ocean wave and a whole new banking system is reshaping national and international trade. A true golden age appears to be on hand.
But all is not well. The city's largest businessman may be on the verge of collapse, the city guilds are weakening, religious fanatics stalk the streets, and there are rumors that one of the Great Gods has returned to judge everyone. The streets are on edge. No one knows which way to turn.
Emily returns to Beneficence for Casper's funeral before she goes back to school. But, as she is drawn into a political, social and religious meltdown, she finds herself dealing with the darker consequences of her innovations, people who blame her for the problems facing the city, religious fanatics, her boyfriend's family...and a deadly plot from the dark past that may lead the Nameless World to utter ruin.

The problem is not the point... It's character development.
Definitely not my favorite of the series but it shows how much Emily has grown and how much she has to go.
For me it's like past tense , not a favorite but necessary to the story line and worth the read

New novel complete. Creativity Not Required.
I have loved this series but this book was different then the others. It was very predictable and I really got tired of the very flat character
development. I bet even the author knows this was a cookie cutter phone it in rush job of a story.

Getting bored.
Probably the least interesting of the series. I think I'm done with it. Like so many authors, CGN creates all this potential and then stops at mediocrity. Spoiler Alert! Stop reading if you care! The best part of the book was the relationship ending. Thank God no one has to listen to those awful love and affection moments anymore!

As a teenager from Earth. Emily innocently unleashed a horde of innovations on a medieval world where magic works. Now she is facing the consequences of her innovations. This continues to be a very well thought out world, with Emily's actions over the last 11 books having ever-larger consequences for her personally and for her adopted world.

Love the series, but.....
I do absolutely love this series! Not many series of books I have stuck with this far in! The only thing that irritates me more and more with every book is the amount of writing surround Emily’s “thoughts”. So much of it is unnecessary. I use audible and end up zoning out and then having to go back because I zoned out too long. Also, I would love to see Emily mature a little more. Her fears and insecurities are becoming a little dramatic, lol..... But overall this is an excellent series!

Not the best one but still good
So it's rwalky lovely that the stories is not just about school we get to see more and more of this fantastic world and its ways. Parts of this one drag but it picks up and is very good. Love to stories but don't think I like Emily... I sometimes I do but I feel like she is more of a connecting component to bring the reader into this world. She thinks the way someone would if this happened to them
