great book

loved this story. listened almost nonstop from start to finish. the narration was good as well. my favorite Cass Leary book so far!!

Loved all the characters coming to life and always keep me guessing and looking forward to what was around the corner.

Great narrator who I could listen to constantly. Robin James is a master at legal thrillers and I can't wait for the next one.

Suspenseful and somewhat of a twist at the end that is an unexpected ending. One of the best in the series so far!!!!

Great plot twist!

I've enjoyed all 9 Robin James legal thrillers but FIRST DEGREE is special because of an unexpected plot twist. This novel is about a first degree murder trial in a small town where everyone knows everyone. The victim is a 19 year old woman. The defendant is her 20 year old ex-boyfriend. Another excellent Cass Leary legal thriller by Robin James.

If You Aren’t Reading This Series, Why Not??

I have read every one so far in this series and have downloaded the next five and fully expect to continue until I get to the very last one! All my other audible books are just waiting because I cannot get past this series! The characterization and the storylines are so clever and there’s always at least one plot twist. I do believe this is my favorite so far, but I cannot recommend enough this entire series. Although I guess this could be a standalone, the reader or listener will get much more out of it if they start from the very beginning so you can see the development and events that shaped all these characters’ lives. The narration is just simply perfect. Thank you Robin James!

Blew my mind

I consider myself a bright person but even I didn’t see this twist coming!!!!!! Lots of pain, suffering and family relationships of every kind presented in a marvellous way!

All I can say is, "Wait for it"!

I've enjoyed all of this series so far and could for the most part figure out where if was going. And was not surprised about where the context of next book. But, this one through me for a loop!! Now, if they have kept the momentum going all the way though to the end of the series all that's left is TV land. #goCass!

Another great one by Robin James

I did not see the ending coming and was completely blown away. Well done Robin James! I going to simply say if you haven’t gotten this series you should it is excellent and this book was out of the park. I enjoy books that have strong women characters and this series delivers. Publishing companies need to pay more attention to women authors like Robin James. They bring a lot to the table.

Kept me Guessing

This was a very interesting book and kept me on the edge of my seat. I really enjoyed it because I could relate to it in so many ways.
