Publisher's Summary

Surrender to vows.

Staff Sergeant Alexei Dvorkin has come a long way since being turned into a metahuman, and all he wants to do is marry the man he loves. A wedding is easy, but it’s the honeymoon where his past unexpectedly catches up with him.

A future together.

All Agent Sean Delaney wanted was a romantic honeymoon with his new husband. When he and Alexei stumble into a fellow operative’s mission on the luxury gambling resort island Fortuna-sur-mer, they get more than they bargained for in their newly minted civilian lives.

Destined to burn.

Forced to choose between staying and joining the mission or leaving to stay safe and postpone their honeymoon, Alexei and Sean make the only decision they can - to fight.

Fire in the Heart is a 28,000-word novella that takes place after New Horizons in the Metahuman Files: Classified series. Listening to the prior books is not necessary to enjoy this one.

A wedding, a honeymoon and a whole lot of action!

More of Sean and Alexei coming up!
This was one of my favorites as we get to see their wedding and honeymoon.
But where Sean and Alexei go, mayhem and action are quick to follow.
Greg Boudreaux's audio delivery was smooth and flawless, which made listening to this all the more enjoyable.

A Wedding At Last

This is the third book in the Metahuman Files: Classified Series which is an extension of the Metahuman Files Series. A fantastic book with amazing writing. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters spellbinding. The characters were well developed and thought out. Alexei and Sean are the MC’s of this book. There was humor (Alexei the things you say), a wedding, a honeymoon (sort of), friends and family, enemies, action, sex, an unwanted mission, gambling and much more in this book. Here is a quote from the book that I think will become the most said quote of the book, “Try to have honeymoon, keep getting interrupted.”. This book is short (cries in corner) but you need to read/listen to this book which I can highly recommend. The narration was great with different voices and not monotone. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

Finally happily married

Lol, I think these two men are destined to not live in peace. 😂 Alexi and Sean are finally getting married. They want to go on a romantic honeymoon and spend their days sipping yummy cocktails and whispering sweet-nothings into each other’s ears. They want to enjoy their newly minted civilian life happily honeymooning. Obviously, it’s not going to happen.

Trouble follows our boys or rather they always go to the trouble. When they stumbled upon a mission on their honeymoon, these two guys of courses couldn’t stay away from the trouble. To hell with romantic honeymoon. They’d rather live and love during action.

Yummy, sexy, funny and exciting. This IS everything! I can’t believe the whole metahuman files series is over. I still don’t have enough of Sean and Alexi. These two are everything. And my my my, Greg’s narration got yummier with each day. A pure eargasm!

I enjoyed listening to fire in heart. The wedding was hard for prize for Sean and at Alexis. They are past experiences try to rip them apart but they came out of it stronger and more in love than ever. They weren’t supposed to work but they do they completed each other in every way this narration made me laugh cry and then more the audio was superb and the honeymoon was even better

Honeymoon and Mayhem

I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review. Finally, here comes the wedding for Sean and Alexei that was a hard-fought prize. Of course, while on their honeymoon on a floating island there’s trouble in the middle of paradise and they have to fight. Where they go trouble is usually not far away. Great story.

Happily Ever Action Packed

Poor Alexei and Sean can never catch a break...
Honeymoons are supposed to be sweet and full of sexy times but not for these two, they need soy action thrown in too.
I hope Greg Boudreaux is having as much fun bringing these characters to life,as much as I enjoy listening to him.

Delightful action-packed, honeymoon-themed novella

Alexei and Sean seem to attract trouble like magnets, and the situation they found themselves in during their honeymoon was no exception. It was so much fun to see another fast-paced mission go down, despite knowing it ruined their vacation. With a smaller version of the team back together again, it was easy to lose myself in the familiar rhythm of strategizing, bantering back and forth, and improvising when things went sideways. Add in a hefty dose of steamy bedroom moments, and this was a very enjoyable audio. Greg Boudreaux has been a fantastic narrator for the last several audios in this series, and this novella was another great performance on his part.

Beautiful end

Another excellent story and a beautiful conclusion to these two characters story. I loved how dedicated the characters are to their job, fighting bad guys and getting the job done. Their love is beautiful in the way that they are so true to themselves. They are pretty adorable for two super rough and tumble dudes.

Narration was again impeccable I can’t say enough awesome things about Boudreaux

Alexei & Sean FTW!!!

I did a bad, bad thing... So, back when I read this novella the first time, I had only read the first 3 books in the series, despite the warning that there'd be spoilers. And really, after listening to it now that I've finished the other books in the series, I can assure you, it's even better if you read or better yet, listen to all the books in order.

This installment was chockful with action, the ensemble cast we've all come to love while reading The Metahuman Files, Alexei and Sean's wedding, and the uber sexytimes between the newlyweds. Never a dull moment with these guys. LOL

Greg Boudreaux is as amazing as always, and I can't get enough of his performance in this series. He really brought the whole team to life for me and elevated what was already a wonderful book right into the stratosphere.

Highly recommendable!

Honeymoon interrupted

Finally, it seems Sean and Alexei will get their long overdue and hard earned wedding. We saw them rebuild themselves and their relationship in volume #1 of the Classified Files, but here as I guess we could expect the honeymoon does not go as planned. There is a great mix of action and romance in this entry in the series and Greg Boudreax as always makes the romantic scenes hot enough to scorch the page and the action scenes make you sit on the edge of your seat.

*Sigh* A wedding and a Honeymoon *Sigh*

OMG! In this amazing short story we witnessed the most expected and well deserved romantic wedding of Alexei and Sean and a very eventful, full of action and danger, Honeymoon. A very enjoyable book 3 in the Metahuman Files with a fantastic performance made by Mr Boudreaux.

Great addition

Hailey Turner did an amazing job with the short stories following the Metahuman series. Although each book in the Classified series can stand on its own, its best enjoy after the original series. Greg Boudreaux was super with the narration.

Chaos, mayhem, and a honeymoon

What happens when two metahumans from Alpha Team want to get married? Well, chaos and mayhem, of course. The story begins with the bachelor party and all the members of Alpha Team are there. We move to the wedding and everything is progressing smashingly. But I knew it couldn’t last.

Jamie is paying for the men’s honeymoon on a luxury gambling resort named Fortuna-sur-mer. And everything looks to be hunky dory until Liam shows up. Yep, that Liam. The metahuman from Britain whose grandmother is the Queen of England. He shows up with Oliver from MI6 and I realized this was the set-up for the next book where the two men will, so to speak, square off. Anyway, Liam arrives on the scene with news there’s a terrorist on the island. Well, of course there is. So, as I said, chaos and mayhem ensue. But in the mess, Alexei and Sean come even closer together. Their bond solidifies. They are a true team. And Alexei makes a bet Oliver and Liam will get together.

I enjoyed this novella as it brought my two favorite characters even closer together. I mean, they had a mirror brought to their room. Sexy times indeed. I’ll mention Greg Boudreaux’s narration. He was made for this series and always hits just the right note. That and his accents are brilliant. So a good palate cleanser between the big books and definitely worth a listen.
