Great Foundation Building

This book was enjoyable, couldn't stop listening from the time I got it at 2am in the morning.
Didn't even go to sleep the next night I was so intrigued.

However.... I agree with some of the others that there was a lot of filler with unnecessary drama.

Granted the filler was entertaining and some of it was absolutely necessary for building a strong team foundation.
A lot of it was just over done and I would have preferred more story progression .

I can't say I'm disappointed, but I will admit I was hoping things would go farther and that some of that filler would at least have been with his family or with the ongoing war efforts instead.

That being said I'm extremely excited for the next book and will be waiting for it with great anticipation.

I'm encouraged that with a lot of the internal relationship and foundation building processes out of the way in this book , the next one will be able to have a lot more actual story progression.

I do pray it won't be 3 years until the next book.
I think I may die if I have to wait that long again Lol!

One of my favorite books of all time! Luke Daniels' narration is phenomenal! Could not recommend this book more!

Excellent

Loved it. I listened to the first book 3times before this book came out. Wonder how long I have to wait for the next one. I noticed how a lot of people didnt like the book.. yep it was just a tad blah at the beginning. but it picks up and shows what's going on behind the adults. ALSO while I really really heat cliffhangers and Viv should have gotten her upgrade SOONER. this books seems to be hinting at a on coming war with the teens being prepared to do battle. This is what I am waiting for I love sci-fi wars. PLEASE DONT MAKE ME WAIT ANOTHER 2 FREAKING YEARS

You’ll want to listen again and again

Bryce O’Connor knocked it out of the park again with the second installment of the Stormweaver series! You’ll feel like you’re falling into step with old friends as book two picks up where books one left off. I loved the character development and all of the action! Time to listen a few more times!

Weird accent shifts

I haven’t finished the book yet but I already know it’s going to be fire. Only problem is that the narrator has done a complete accent shift on a bunch of the main and side characters. I’ve listened to books performed by this narrator and this hasn’t ever happened before. Either the authors told him to change them to fit their imagination or it’s been so long since Luke did the last book that he forgot which accents he did for each character and didn’t bother to go back and remind himself. Still going to listen but I’m going to have to get used to the voices all over again.

Absolutely love this series

I’ve listened to the first book countless times now, I even bought the print book and read that multiple times. This book has officially cemented my feeling for the series. I’m on my 2nd listen now and it actually gets better. The narration changes bothered me at first but I’ve gotten past them(what the heck is a faelongks?). It was also bit slow to get going, but once it did it really did. All in all I loved it and I will not be missing any future entries to this series.

Ready for the next one!

I can't wait for the next one. Great series. I highly recommend it. I wish there was less emphasis on progressive topics though. It takes away from the story.

Great continuation

Great continuation with a slight pace change to greatly flesh out the characters. Narration is AMAZING.

“Call” it a win - book 2 lives up to book 1

The first chapter of this book was my favorite first chapter of a sequel, ever. The story rockets forward from there. In this book, we get to learn more about a few characters, but the number is kept small enough and the focus is on MC consistently enough that the feel of the book following Ray remains. A fantastic read - I anticipate I’ll re-read both books several times.
