Publisher's summary

Rodeo bullfighter Wyatt Darrington's got it all figured out. The perfect car, the perfect job, the perfect looks - the perfect lie. He may be on the fast track to the Hall of Fame, but he knows he'll always be an outsider to people like Melanie Brookman. Texas-born and bred, with the arena in her blood, Melanie's come to see Wyatt as her personal enemy, and that suits him just fine - this way, she'll never realize the truth. He's been crazy in love with her for years.

Melanie's always been a fighter. Fiercely independent and tough as nails, she's stood up to everything that got in her way - including Wyatt. But now, her infamous temper's got her on the ropes, and there's nowhere left to run but toward the man she swore she'd never trust...and this time, there's no denying just how hot he makes her burn.

Another winner by Kari Lynn Dell!

Dell takes readers on another trip into the world of rodeo but this time it’s Wyatt Darrington’s turn to be the main attraction. Dell does a great job forming each character’s personality without sacrificing a good story line. Her ability to weave the lives of the characters together from book to book keeps me burning through each book as fast as I can so I can get to know the next characters. This books takes place mostly in Pendleton Oregon which is a nice change from Texas and allows the reader a deeper look into the world of rodeo beyond the state of Texas. Pendleton is famous for the Pendleton Round-up, one of the biggest rodeos in the world. And once again Dell brings forward a strong female character who is able to hold her own and kick butt when needed. Perhaps what I like the most about Dell’s books is how the men and women come together as equal partners instead of the woman fainting and being caught by the man all the time! But the men are still strong and virile and tough enough not to be intimidated by a strong woman. Instead they value the women for their independence and strength.

Great series

If you follow the series, this books explains so much. I have always loved Wyatt's ability to manipulate situations. He seemed to be playing director in a play starring his friends lives. Now the tables are turned. Narrator does a great job bringing personality to the characters.
