ANOTHER HIT!!!

This was a great addition to this series. I know that some would say it's too long but I love long stories like this. Christina Traister did a good job of bringing all the characters to life. There are a couple of words she needs to learn to pronounce correctly but overall, she's a good narrator.

Terrible reader

The book and its plot are really exciting, but this reader just spoils it for me.
Her voice is loud and cutting and even though I understand that she wants to 'act' the part, her 'screams' are so loud that I jumped in my skin when they came. I don't think it is necessary to do that. I won't be buying books with this reader.

Why all the good reviews?

Oh this is so bad and the narrator is terrible! I normally enjoy Lisa Jackson’s books, but this is really awful. I finished it but definitely fast forwarded many times. The story is all over the place. Also the romance portion was extremely out of place. The two main characters claimed to care about the missing girl but their actions proved otherwise. And the narrator was terrible! Sometimes she had a speech impediment and other times it sounded like she was trying out some sort of European accent. A very hard listen.

Excellent

Wow I don’t normally write reviews, but felt this book deserves one. Excellent story and just enough twists to keep you on edge.

Exact same as the last.

I enjoyed the first story of Lisa Jackson said I listened to. However after two and three it’s the exact same story. These seemingly initially strong independent women that somehow can’t figure out how to dial 911 in emergency, or remember that their daughters are missing kidnapped etc. because the two distracted by the cute boy in the room. This kind of sloppy trite storytelling drives me away from authors. Wildly disappointed.

Harlequin Novel?

Is this read more like a soft porn, gratuitous western sexual fantasy than it did a mystery/thriller. Not to be a spoiler or anything, but if you're biological daughter were missing and being held by a crazed lunatic murderer, I would hope the last thing on your mind would be riding some studley cowboy and more on finding your daughter. Neither the biological mother, nor the adopted father, seemed overly concerned about finding their daughter, but more concerned about clinking champagne glasses and knocking boots. If it weren't for the fact that this was the 2nd in a series of 3 I would have stopped listening. Very disappointing.
