Characters

Kate’s character was flat. The story would have moved better without her. Also, she acted too dumb and idiotic to be a teacher

Just right!

The right amount of suspense, the right amount of romance, the right amount of angst. First listen for this author. Loved it! And John Lane is so wonderful - I love his voice. Do it now- get it!!

Language ruins the story

I really wanted to finish it, but the swearing was too much. It's a shame...I normally like Lisa Jackson.

Love! Love! Love!

It’s not often you can really love a character, but in this book... the main character is absolutely lovable and we cheered for him all the way...

Great book

Interesting characters. I felt it was on the light side of suspenseful. The narration was spot on.

Didn’t want book to End

Very good story with mystery, intrigue and love. Each chapter kept building and I didn’t want the book to end. Voice of Jack Garrett is awesome. I could see more books based off of this story. Haven’t research you see if that has occurred, but I will definitely be reading/listening to Lisa Jackson’s books more. In fact, waiting on my next download now of her books to appear in my library. Not a waste. Very much enjoyed this book.

Entertaining

Didn’t feel like Lisa Jackson novel. The story idea was good towards the end it was out of order in a couple spots and it seemed like a few story ideas were rushed in at the end. Still glad I listened

Not her usual quality story.

Usually books by Lisa Jackson are great, but this one really was not good enough.

The narrator has limited character voices.

Great story! I could not put it down! I wouldn’t expect less from Lisa Jackson. My only con is that the narrator has only two different male voices to cover a range of a dozen male characters. It was a bit annoying but I was never confused as to which character was speaking.

Corny but sweet

I felt like I was listening to an old melodramatic western from the 60s. I stuck with it just to see where it all went and it turned out to be a sweet romance if you’re into that sort of thing.
