Publisher's Summary

This vampire has a sweet tooth - two of ‘em.

Priscilla Pratt is 377 years old, give or take a decade. She’s the best baker in Bellmare, Massachusetts, and just wants to continue to lead a quiet life in the quaint and haunted tourist destination. Not even an elaborate, last-minute wedding cake commission - a multi-tiered fondant replica of Dracula’s castle - could be a stake in her side.

But when the bride turns up dead hours before the wedding, Priscilla and her pastries are the first to be suspected. Priscilla will have to get to the bottom of this frosting-laden murder, or her business and reputation will be six feet under.

Fangs in Fondant is the first audiobook in a new paranormal cozy mystery series. This novel is quirky, fun, and deliciously decadent!

Listen now to sink your teeth into this sweet mystery!

Cute little story

I found this book to be cute. Nothing dramatic and certainly nothing scary. I would read others by author. Priscilla is an older ( like in over 300 yr) old vampire. She owns a bakery. Kinda sucks since she can’t even enjoy the spoils of her trade. But for some reason the police chief Arther needs her to help him solve a murder? A few things don’t jive like how the heck do vampires feed if there is some kind of law against them eating or in their case slurping? Anyway it’s a cute little story. I received this book book at no charge in exchange for an honest review. 👍🏻

A fun mystery

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I know that bakery mysteries are not a new thing at all, BUT, this book was interesting and wasn't the 'average'. I enjoyed listening to a supernatural book where the supernatural characters aren't assumed to automatically be the villan. I look forward to the next in this series.

Different

I have to admit that at the beginning of the story I stopped listening and read or listened to something else. The book did not capture my attention at all in the beginning. I think it didn't help that the vampire sounded and acted too human. However, as the book progressed and I got to know the characters a little more, I actually liked it. The murderer I did not guess at all, so it was a surprise when we found out who did it. Towards the end of the book I found that I wanted to know what happens next to the characters. I will be looking the rest of the series up.
Saying this I would have liked a bit more suspense or tension. I felt this was missing from the book and it could be why I was not hooked from the beginning.
The narrator was OK but I would have liked a bit more feeling when she voiced the characters.

Loved!

This was a wonderfully written vampire cozy mystery! Pricilla is a 300 year old vampire who runs a bakery and solves mysteries on the side. When the horrible over privileged rich girl hires her to make a a cake for the wedding and rents out the most expensive haunted mansion in the town for the ceremony turns up dead, pricilla has no choice but to investigate. A great mystery with stellar narration! I must say i think i have found a new favorite series! I cant wait for more! Too cute!

Didn't think I would ever say that about a vampire story, but this one is Too Cute!! there was also a lot of mystery and even murder. But there's something about a vampire that runs a bakery that is just cute. I loved it and recommend it to everyone.

The narrators reading couldn't have been any better..
