Couldn't stop listening!

I absolutely positively love this series! The narrators are fantastic and do an amazing job of bringing the characters to life. The ending is not nice and I cannot wait to see what happens next!

False Augury was everything and more of what I needed. I just love all the challenges they faced this book and how much they found themselves. Eva Chase I can't wait for more. Curry, Jaime, and Jonathan did an amazing job narrating this book!!!

This was an interesting sequel - really enjoyed it better than the first book. I could not go to sleep until I was done listening to this book.

I cannot recommend this series enough. Absolutely wonderful and the heroine is fantastic. Looking forward to more from her and the rest of the characters.

An exciting adventure in the wilds of Maine

We finally get to find out what happened to Cressida and Noah. Last we knew they were both snatched and thrown unconscious into a vehicle with two of the Portland reapers. They awaken chained to a wall in a room with cuffs that block the use of their magic. Cressida soon discovers that their supposed ally Emeric is really not an ally at all but a true member of the reaper group she was trying to gather intel on. While Noah has value as the brother of a Baron, Cressida is only a traitor and a spy. When Emeric changes allegiances and breaks them out, that's when their troubles really begin. Now they are on foot and on the run through unknown territory, miles from the nearest town and hunted by their former captors. They have no supplies and no cell signal. Cressida and Noah are not inclined to trust that Emeric won't either desert them or lead them into another trap. With few ways to generate the fear that fuels their magic, they are the proverbial sitting ducks. This isn't going to be pretty.

The book will end on a cliffhanger that you should have seen coming. I was given a copy of this audio book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Just Love This

The cliff hangers just keep coming! Aahhh! I need the next one right now! We finally get some more story from Emeric!! The steam between Cressida and her boys was so spicy! I just love this world. I cannot wait to read the next one! Thank you to the author for a review copy of this audio in exchange for an honest review!

It was really good!

I have to say that there wasn't that much action in this story but I loved the action and character development that was in this story! I wanted more! I can't wait for the next book!

Survival!

Great story! To be kidnapped and fighting for your life. Will you survive. Narrators worked well together.

Suspenseful and engaging sequel!

I'm really enjoying this story so far. There were certainly some unexpected plot twists that made this read not only suspenseful and engaging, but emotional. This book does end in a cliffhanger, but the very best kind. We get the main threads from this book tied up, while still leaving us with something to look forward to in the next book! I'm excited to see what happens next in this world with this great group of characters!

As for the narration, I'll give it 4/5. It was a pleasant listen and I enjoyed the addition of not one, but two male narrators to give voice to both of the male POVs!

Book 2 picks up without missing a beat. And somehow someway Eva Chase has made it so I actually care about what happens to Cressida. This story follows her and the guys as they are trying to get back to the school and safety. It was intense and kept me on my toes.
The narrators do an amazing job as always, and I can't wait for the next one
