Nearly a year after the traumatic events set in motion by his ex-wife, Alex is looking forward to the next chapter of his life as a special agent with Homeland Security. Quick little look into the life of Alex Walker. Still struggling with the events of his past Alex isn't sure where he truly belongs anymore. A boy kidnapped by his father helps Alex realize that there really is only one way out of the troubles of his past and that is through the heartache. The narration was better than the story but that is more of a me thing. I wanted just a little bit more from the story even though it was a novella.
