Publisher's summary

James Toledo is dungeon descended, third son of a Dungeon Lord.

His father was one of the 14 rulers of the Empire of Varad, each in charge of a dungeon core.

James never believed he would have a chance to become a Dungeon Lord on his own, despite his dungeon-enhancing perk. But his grandfather found a new dungeon core, and made a deal with a creature of unimaginable power to become the new dungeon’s boss monster.

Unfortunately, before James was given control of the new dungeon core, his grandfather was assassinated, and his family murdered or kidnapped by unknown, masked assailants. James’ house burned down around him.

Barely surviving, James seeks the power necessary to take vengeance on all those who have wronged him and his family. He vows to put an end to the evil lurking deep within his city, but thugs and gangsters are only the beginning of what he’ll find.

A dark litRPG dungeon tale for fans of The Punisher and The Dungeon of Stories.

excellent story

Great story! MC is a bit immature to start and that was a bit obnoxious to read. But, this is a great story overall so far. I am looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Wow...

Hurry up John Stovall... I NEED the second book! Love where the story is headed and the team of characters you've created. Highly recommend for anyone on the fence.

The MC is a Moron

I really don't know what else to say. The MC is quite possibly the dumbest sack of crap to ever be a dumb sack of crap. I mean dumb doesn't even begin to cover it. You can just imagine him sitting in a corner beating his head against the wall and screaching about how much he loves to eat his own feces.

The narration was not the greatest. I've listened to his work before and know that he's better than his performance on this book.

aggressively sexual extremely early on

within the first couple hours theres at least 2 incidents of sexual assault or thoughts of sexually assaulting someone, the first time is even from the mc. I guess the author is trying to go for a darker vibe but imo there's better ways. this book isnt for me

just terrible

I'm having a tough time figuring out how anyone could think this was a good book. The story was bland, The system of magic has some glaring inconsistencies and plot issues, and the obvious harem is being collected. this book feels like it was written by an insecure 14-year-old boy.

The only reason I am not going to return this book for a free credit, is so that I know this review will stay up as a warning for others not to read it.
