Publisher's Summary

Maddox - The reason I rarely go home is three simple words: I'm a liar.

When the pressure to marry my childhood sweetheart became too much, I told her I was gay and then fled to New York like my ass was on fire.

Now, five years later and after a drunken encounter, I find myself invited to her wedding. And I have to bring my boyfriend-the boyfriend who doesn't exist because I'm straight.

At least, I think I am. Meeting the guy I'm bribing to be my boyfriend for the weekend makes me question everything about myself.

Damon - When my sister asks me to pretend to be some straight guy's boyfriend, my automatic response is to say no. It's because of guys like him people don't believe me when I tell them I'm gay.

But Maddox has something I need.

After an injury that cost me my baseball career, I'm trying to leave my playing days behind and focus on being the best sports agent I can be. Forty-eight hours with my sister's best friend in exchange for a meeting with a possible client. I can do this.

I just wish he wasn't so hot. Or that he didn't kiss like he means it.

Wait... why is the straight guy kissing me?

Contains mature themes.

This would make a great movie!

I originally bought this book because of Alexander Cendese, who is one of the best narrators of audio books. I was immediately pleased with my decision because the story was brilliant. I wasn't familiar with Eden Finley but I will tell you the writer has a delightful sense of humor which shows throughout the story. The novel was well thought out. I particularly enjoyed how everything was credible, all very believable. Without getting bogged down in an extensive history of the characters, the author gave us enough information to understand and truly appreciate them and the story. I rarely laugh out loud while listening to an audiobook, but throughout the entire story the author had the character say things that would make me laugh so hard my dog would run into another room. This book so kept my interest I didn't want to put it down. I actually listened to the entire six-and-a-half-hour novel in one sitting. In this crazy world we live in, it's nice to be able to listen to a great, fun, love story. I really can't wait for book two.

The narrator, Alexander Cendese, has a voice that is perfect for telling a story. This is so important in an audiobook. I have passed up on audiobooks because the narrator's voice was a bit too shrill or so annoying I couldn't focus on the story. That's never been the case with Mr. Cendese. Kudos to the author and narrator for a job well done. I highly recommend this.

Excellent First In Series and Narration!

This is the first book I have had from Eden Finley but it won't be the last! I loved this story and hope the rest of the series will be coming to Audible as well. A light listen with just the right amount of humor to make the story flow. I can't wait for the next listen.

I personally love Alexander Cendese and I think he brings his own style to this book. Iggy Toma is wonderful and I own many Audibles from him as well. I love it when books have dual narrators and I felt that this worked really well.

So good

Completely unexpected, this book was one that I hadn’t anticipated loving so very much. The humor and emotion, the character connection and development... it was all so perfect. Not to mention the hot guy on guy action, that was so incredibly steamy and well written. I absolutely loved it.

Alexander and Iggy were the perfect narrator choices. I love them in m/m books, their ability to distinguish characters and their tone and timing are spot on.

Laugh-out-loud funny rom com

I tend to shy away from MM audio books because narrated sex scenes make me feel slightly uncomfortable, but this is a book I read on ebook that I really loved. The audiobook didn't disappoint. It had me giggling to myself as I listened to it, walking around the house and grinning like an idiot while my family looked on, wondering what kind of drugs I was on. I don't like the narrator for Maddox as much as the one for Damon, and I wish they could have done a more cohesive job matching their various character voices in-between POVs. That said, this was still hugely entertaining. Highly recommend.

Would prefer less explicitness and more emotions

The first half is amazing, the second one is duller and little repetitive.
Still, nice listen.

good story, but 2nd narrator was hard to follow

I enjoyed the story and overall the performance. My two biggest complaints are the female voices... wow. they were annoying. And I found Alexander Cendense a little hard to follow between voices at times. There wasn't enough difference between the two MCs to know which was speaking. Otherwise, I enjoyed this a lot. Well written. Well paced.

Enjoyable and easy to listen to

The voices were pleasent even though it'd be nice if they could get women to do the women voices I realize that takes extra money most wouldn't have.

The being said the voices given to the female roles weren't bad.

The plot was interesting and I can't wait to buy the next book.

Juvenile characters

This author has potential, and the story could have been a 3 star easy listen, but the characters are just so juvenile! It really started to annoy me as the book went on. They act more like young teenagers than 24ish year olds. The relationship drama towards the end seemed unnecessary and just put in for the ups and downs of traditional plots - it didn’t really fit though and was just another thing that was annoying. I think if the author bounced ideas off more people and got more feedback as they were writing they could create a good book as the style had the potential to be good and was comparable to other authors out there, it was just the characterisation and plot points that needed tweaking.
