Publisher's Summary

Wish you had time to exercise? Turned off by the "meat market" scene at most gyms? Or are you simply unsure about how to get started with a daily workout? The good news is that you don't have to follow extreme exercise programs like Insanity and P90X or spend every free moment in the gym to experience the health benefits exercise has to offer. All you need to do is make a simple goal to exercise every day in a way that fits your already busy schedule.

The truth? You struggle with exercising because of specific workout obstacles. Here's the thing: Most people have both the desire and capacity to exercise, but they never get started because they allow obstacles to get in their way. For instance you might feel exhausted when your alarm clock goes off two hours earlier than usual in the morning, so you can't bring yourself to make it to boot camp class. Or perhaps you don't have space in your house for lots of weights and equipment. These are real-life obstacles, and it's likely that issues such as these have prevented you from engaging in regular exercise.

In this book you will have the opportunity to identify those obstacles that seem to continually get in your way. Then you will learn how to review each obstacle and identify the specific solutions to experience a personal breakthrough.

Good Advice practical steps

I bought the book expecting the same old advice, but was pleasantly surprised. I found lots of small, easy steps I could take and I found that very motivating.

Great strategies

I really like this book because there were great practical strategies that could be used. Also there was a solution for every excuse that we use not to exercise.

helpful and funny

If you could sum up Exercise Every Day in three words, what would they be?

The book is easy to comprehend, helpful, and entertained. The book does not open anything new for me. The tactics are classical rather than innovative. The most I got from this book is author's convincing way to explain simple things.

Common Sense

Useful for basic information and establishing exercise routine. Common sense, but nothing profound or truly motivational.

Love it!!

I think this is the second book I’ve listened to by this author and I absolutely love his books, very helpful, not condescending, tells you what he does without making it an ego trip for him (literally had a book once that was nothing but the guy offering terrible extremist health advice and working in how great and amazing he is every few minuets!). Highly recommend.

More like an infomercial

I'm not sure this was a very useful book for me. The information is a bit too general and delivered like an infomercial. The book is obviously written with lists and it is read as such. When actually reading text this works, when listening it is very awkward and difficult to follow. I found it difficult to get engaged and listen. While he makes some good points like the idea of celebrating small wins and making micro-commitments, I found much of the information general and at times promotional. I felt way too much time was spent listing things and not enough time on habit creation tactics. Overall when I get a book like this I am looking for something that has a component of motivation. His delivery and writing style doesn't do this. I am also looking to learn something. Unfortunately there was nothing in this book I did not already know, but knowing does not magically translate into doing.
