Politics and Murders

This is a story involving politics and murderers in high places. I began to figure out the potential ending (who done it) about midway through but the story was suspenseful enough that I kept listening. While listening to the story, I kept thinking that I wanted to know more about the character Cutler which was eventually provided in the last few chapters. Cutler is a badass woman! and is the character I liked the most even before I was given her backstory. There are a lot of characters in this story which were developed well enough that I could imagine what most looked like. I liked the narrator but he had the distracting habit of using long pauses between paragraphs (? I think!). I think the editors could have cleared up these long pauses they were way tooooo noticeable! A good listen, I would recommend.

Not my favorite genre . .

Can’t remember why I bought this book. I wouldn’t classify it as a page turner although there were some nice twists and turns in it. If I were to really like a mystery thriller, it would have to suck me in so that I couldn’t wait to get back to it every day, and this one just never did. It isn’t my favorite genre so I’ll just leave it at that.

I had forgotton I had read this years ago. Pulled it up out of my library when I was searching for something to read. I am now going to read the next in the series

fast paced and exciting

If you want a good book to listen to that is fast paced and exciting, this is it. It is somewhat predictable but it's read well and keeps you going until the end.
