Even better than Book 1

The author dug deeper into the characters in this second book in the Evolution series. There are some tropes to romance, there's just no getting around that. It's part of the reason I typically don't care for the genre... what many find a comforting storyline, I usually find too predictable.

However, just because I don't usually care for romance doesn't mean I can't appreciate good writing. And these books are VERY well written. I am writing this review after having listened to all three in the series, and I can tell you right now that this book, the second of three, is by far my favorite.

Ironically enough, it's the secondary characters that made the book for me. They are fully fleshed out, and (despite their superhero status) very relatable. There is one point in particular, where the loss of a secondary character was so well written that it literally choked me up.

Well done, Ms. Huchton.

Better than the last

Just as good if not better than the last. I can't wait to read the next one.

What a sequel should be

Book one left me wanting more right away,book 2 delivers! No spoilers in this review, just go listen. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing!

Picks right up where ANGEL leaves off. This is a high intentensity series that is masterfully written. SAGE is just as intriguing and captivating as ANGEL and will keep you continuing to listen, nonstop. At the end of ANGEL a very devastating event occurs, but we see that it makes room for other characters to flourish and connections to deepen in SAGE. Also, some super cool stuff happens to our 'superhero' characters. We are also unknowingly given some breadcrumbs that will play a relatively important role in HEX. Simply amazing, and I've gotten super attached to these kick * * s characters and love where the author is taking their relationships. We get some twists an dramatic events throughout this one. I'm excited to see what happens next in HEX.

Another amazing performance by this author/narrator, just as with ANGEL. Great consistency between character voices and perfect timing when exhibiting emotions. I continue to be wholly impressed by Starla Huchton.
