Amazing

This book is an amazing tale of love, loss, and liberation. So much of what Carrie talks about are reflections of how I felt in my own loveless marriage. It's a story that will resonate with anyone who has found themselves through heartbreak.

Short but oh so sweet

Just use a credit. Don’t read the description or the reviews. You want to know nothing going in. The raw emotion and the build up to the climax makes this short book worth a lot more time and money than I invested.

Lean on Me

Carrie writes a man named David and tells him that her husband and his wife are having an affair. Carrie has found letters from the woman to her husband. She asks David to send any letter her husband has written his wife because she wants to know why her husband is having an affair. She offers to send David his wife’s letter.

As Carrie and David read the letter between their spouses, my heart broke for them. I cannot imagine how devasted I would feel if my spouse said such things to another woman. Absolutely heartbreaking!!! I loved Carrie and David and how they leaned on one another through their pain. I hated their spouses – they were so cruel especially Carrie's husband. The ending is excellent, and unexpected.

Some of the narrators are better than others, Julia Whelen is the best, but overall the narration is very good.

Note: I noticed that my review had received two unhelpful votes and cold not understand why - so I reread it and saw that I made a BIG mistake. I originally said in my review that I particularly hated David, but I meant the other guy who was Carrie's husband - I don't remember his name. Now I understand why I received 2 unhelpful votes - I don't blame them because David, Carrie's friend, is a really really nice guy. Carrie's husband is a world class jerk. I went in and edited the review to correct that mistake and make the Note.

I loved the format. Very enjoyable read/listen.
Goosebumps and smiles at the end. thoroughly recommend.

Evidence of the Affair

Wow, what a story, couldn't put it down. Excellent read/listen. The narration was excellent, bringing the characters alive.

Marvelous performance and story

I absolutely loved this recording. The voices were perfect for the pictures in my head. A lyrical journey through the struggles of discovering a spouses affair and the decision to stay or go. Recommend.

Wow!

I've listened to a hundred audio books and never written a review until this gem. I purchased this for a 2 hour drive and was immediately engrossed in it. I very much enjoyed this Real life short story told through letters.

Didn't see that coming.

I love Taylor's writing style. she tells stories with such real characters. only complaint is it was too short lol
