Publisher's Summary

London, 2014: Catherine Howard stumbles upon the tomb of her granddaughter, Anne Howard Brandon, who'd been swept back through time. Horrorstruck, she discovers Anne was murdered in the year 1562.

Elizabethan England, 1562: Dr. Jonathan Brandon, Anne's husband, pens a desperate message to Catherine, which gives the details of his wife's kidnapping and murder, and the plea to "find a way to undo this!"

Upon discovering the ancient letter, Catherine calls upon a time-traveling priest, Father Daniel, to rescue her precious granddaughter. But journeying back to the 16th century is a dangerous undertaking; the life and death risks sobering and real. Will Daniel survive? Can anyone thwart the evil that threatens Anne, or is the timeline immutable; her fate sealed? Daniel calls upon the forces of heaven and earth - including a secret Vatican society of time travelers - to aid in this quest. Will they be able to help? Can they change the course of history? Will time rewind?

Ever Crave the Rose

Enjoyed the story, but would not ha6 if I hadn't read book 1. It was a little confusing at times as to me the flow was a little off making a few parts seem out of sync. Some parts dragged while other parts Especially the ending was rushed.Over all it was enjoyable!

Great sequel!

A wonderful sequel, full of suspense and with a well-moving storyline. The narrator suits very well for these historical romances, her Elizabethan accents, both high and low-born are very believable, you can almost believe that people sounded that way. Yes, she has a slightly odd inflection but I became so used to it in the first book that I did not even notice it this time around.

4.7 rating Love adventurous time travel Feel GOOD!

A love story that spans ages! Rate: 4.7 Loved it! Fantasy, love, family, good vs. evil, adventurous time travel with links to the Vatican! Feel good read! Highly recommended! Start with Begun Time (.5) which I loved! Book 1 Thornless Rose is ok, too dramatic for me; and this is Book 2 - is my favorite! Highly Recommend this.

FANTASTIC SERIES!

I like both historical novels and time travel novels, but have seldom found these two favorites of mine blended so beautifully.
Absolutely awesome story, complex and realistic characters, and as many twists and turns as the maze at Hampton Court. I LOVED it. Near flawless narration, too.

Outlander fans should not miss this series

I love historical fiction. This book makes the reader feel like she has been personally introduced to Queen Elizabeth. The book was well researched with historical accuracy.

A Great Conclusion Albeit a Bit short

A great conclusion to the previous book - my only comments is that it was a bit short and could have been expanded on a bit more - just felt like it needed to conclude and here is a book to do it
