Publisher's summary

Studies show that 90 percent of all online businesses fail within the first four months of operation.

If you want to be part of 10 percent who succeed, keep reading....

You’ve probably heard the saying ‘knowledge is power’.

Right? Wrong! Applied knowledge is power.

Many aspiring entrepreneurs end up spending money on ‘educating themselves’ buying books, high ticket online courses, and going to seminars but never actually apply what they learn.

This is a disaster waiting to happen. Success will not come.

I used to struggle immensely with fully understanding business lingo and key terminology.

But of course, if you want to be successful, you need all the advantages you can get. You need to fix your intellectual blind spots.

Doing this, you will have an advantage your competitors in an increasingly competitive market.

As entrepreneurs, we are problem solvers, right?

So, I’ve built a mind map of all the business terms and idioms that constantly creep up in conversations, meetings, podcasts, and online courses. No fluff, no BS.

Essential Business Vocabulary will enable you to...

  • Fully understand business lingo and know how and when to use them, through contextual explanations
  • Transform how you conversate in business, making you more professional
  • Take full advantage of my tips/benefits for the relevant buzzwords, as well as the ‘bossnote'
  • Gain a deep understanding of commonly misunderstood business terms

Not worth a credit

Don't be fooled by the shiny title, "Essential Business Vocabulary: Build Your Business Lingo." This book should be re-titled "127 Ways to Make Your Eyes Glaze Over and Question Your Career Choices." Here's why:

The writing style is about as exciting as watching paint dry (and trust me, I've spent some long afternoons observing that fascinating process). There are dry definitions, zero context, and absolutely no spark to make you actually want to learn these terms.

The Only Fun I Had Was Making Up Ridiculous Sentences: Okay, maybe "fun" is subjective, but this book was about as enjoyable as a root canal. I only found amusement in trying to string the vocabulary words together into nonsensical sentences. "The CEO synergized the paradigm shift of the market leverage, resulting in a paradigm shift of profits." See? Hilarious, right?
