cute but good

her sister was a bit slow but 🤷🏾‍♀️...... good in all can't complain I enjoyed the book. wish she did more with her magic

Enchanting retell that is imaginative, well written and well read.

Maybe the Best of Grace Draven’s excellent stories. Draven is a wordsmith and eloquent weaver of word tapestries. You can’t get better than Draven.

Fantastic Read!!!

**Spoilers** This book was absolutely fantastic for 90% of it. The characters were all amazing and had distinct individual personalities. The romance between Lou and Ballard was electric. You couldn't help but cheer for them. However, the ending felt rushed. I am still not sure why the curse was broken. I'm glad it was, but I don't know what the reasoning was? Because he got hurt? I also felt that Lou's magical abilities could have been explored more. I guess I just wanted to enjoy a happy ending more, be in the moments after the curse was broken and experience Ballard and company adjusting back to a normal life.

Engrossing

The characters are strong, the story is engrossing, and it had amusing banter. Narration was good. My only issue was difficulty in the beginning of being able to tell what time period the current chapter was in. Perhaps this was by design, but it made the story confusing. Once I was able to figure out what was going on, I found the audiobook to be well worth a credit.

I enjoyed every minute of it! A hint of beauty and the beast but a completely different story line and much more fun and adult.

Good story and excellent narrator

Interesting story with fascinating characters and surprising twists and turns. Stacey Holmes’s is an excellent performer who made the characters alive.

Beauty and the beast retelling

I am always a fan of a good beauty and the beast retelling, I loved this book and it had a really unique spin that kept you on your toes. Characters in this book have amazing chemistry.

A Beauty and the Beast Retelling

This was such a great retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Ballard and Louvane love story is beyond epic. It had everything, angst, chemistry, passion, desire, from strangers to friends to lovers. Both characters had a second chance at love again. With Louvane, losing her husband so young from an illness, and Ballard dealing with his first wife who didn't love him at all and cursed him and his son. The characters were so much fun and amazing to read about. Even the side characters were incredible as well.

Gavin and Cinida were great as well. Even though she got on my nerves sometimes, Cinida's heart was in the right place. She loved her sister very much, and only wanted her to be happy. The same for Gavin, in regards to his father's happiness. They both knew what Ballard and Louvane had to sacrifice, in order for Gavin and Cinida to have. A long lasting love and marriage.

Ambrose and Magda were my favorite after Ballard and Louvane. These two were so funny and kept 100 with the people around them, whether they liked it or not. They never held no cut cards with anyone, not even Ballard. These two characters kept the story alive and funny from time to time. They were so enjoyable and memorable.

The only character I couldn't stand, however was written so good, was Jimin. He's the type of character that you'll love to hate. I particularly didn't like how he treated and hurt Louvane. No man should ever put his hands on a woman, no matter what she says or does. Then tying a rope around, then attaching that rope to the hoof of your horse and dragging along to get Cinida was the final straw. Not to mention how tricked and used Louvane and Cinda's father Mersa as ploy to force his younger daughter into marrying Jimin. I was happy that Mersa ended Jimin by protecting his children.

Grace Draven, once again has captured me into another story of love, angst, passion, desire and suspense. Her writing is so effortless and so easy to read. I love how she captures the readers attention at the very beginning of the story. I love how each one of her stories are different, yet they still have the same outcome. They're amazing stories. Can't wait to read more!!!

One of my top 10 books of all time

I love this book. I love that Louvean was a strong character and very straight forward. So many books I've read have this push and pull thing and I just hate that. I listened to this book from start to finish in one day...i couldnt stop. A good love story, good characters, good villains and a good book all around - spend the credit on it. Its worth it! Oh my forest king!

I was so happy to see this book I really been wanting more of her books on audible and they finally added one I can’t wait for more
