Publisher's Summary

Zara and Nick are soul mates, meant to be together forever. But that’s not how things have worked out. For starters... well, Nick is gone. He’s been taken to some mythic place for warriors called Valhalla, where Zara and her friends might be able to get him back. It’s just not going to be easy.

Meanwhile, Bedford needs its warriors more than ever, since a group of evil pixies is devastating the place, with teens going missing every day. An all-out war seems imminent. But even if Zara and her friends can find the way to Valhalla, there’s that other small problem: Zara’s been pixie kissed. When she finds Nick, will he even want to leave with her? Especially considering she hasn’t turned into just any pixie.... She’s Astley’s queen.

Love the series!!

I really like this series. This might not have been the strongest book in the series but...I think the main purpose of this book (beside Nick and Valhalla) is getting to know and love Astley (which is easy to do). This sets up the 4th book to have the famous "love triangle".

Now with that being said - One of my new year???s resolutions was to STOP feeling sorry for the boy (in the love triangle) that knows he has no shot with the girl but decides he must go through the pain and heartache anyway. (Ex. Vampire Academy, Twilight, Bitter Frost, Wicked Woods, Heavenly, and on and on).

But???..I have to give Carrie Jones a little credit ??? I like both of them. (Not like Twilight where I liked Jacob but knew she belonged with Edward.) I actually like them both. So I think the next book will be real interesting and I am looking forward to it.

BTW ??? I actually listened to all three books this week on audio narrated by Julia Whelan. I don???t usually like audio books but I listen to them while I clean house, put up X???mas Stuff and other chores. Anyway???I have to admit that the narrator was fantastic. I didn???t think I would like her at first but I did! (Vampire Academy audio sucked a*s! 3 different narrators out of 6 books and only the first one was decent. For two books Dmitri didn???t have a Russian accent and they were the 2nd and 3rd! ??? Can???t go from one book with a Russian accent and go through the next two without!!!) ***Sorry 5 year old temper tantrum happing now.***

Back to Entice ??? I thought it was good but I have a feeling the next book is the one to watch for.

Getting better

When I listened to the first book in this series 'Need' I must admit I was a little unsure and found Zara a little hard to relate to but now as the series has reached its third book 'Entice' I found that she has really found her way and I really like her now. Now that Zara is a pixie she has some tough choices to make and I must admit I do like Astley and am routing for him. Zara is on a quest to get Nick back from Valhala whether he still wants to know her or not and we see Zara and Astley following up leads to this end. I do not want to give the story away - my only criticism is that the reader is left dangling at the end - yet again! and so have to wait another year for the outcome. All in all though a really good read and well within scope for the young adult market. I am a lot older than 'young adult' and I did not find it to flaky or patronising. After all a love story should be for all ages.
