Publisher's Summary

You've been looking for something magical...meet your new obsession! Twilight meets Harry Potter. The Star-Crossed Series has over 13,000 reviews on Goodreads and Amazon.

In the fourth installment of the Star-Crossed Series, we find Eden Matthews a prisoner in the very household she set out to destroy. She is without magic and engaged to the same boy who betrayed her and everyone she loves. With her wedding looming on the horizon, conditions for her people continue to worsen, and her goal of offering her kingdom freedom seems further away than ever.

Her brother is free, however, and building a rebellion that hopes to rescue her. Eden's parents are working with the Resistance, and inside the Citadel Eden finds more allies than she thought possible. However, there is more at stake for Eden than just an unwanted marriage. Her heart is on the line, too, as she fights the pressures of palace life, the prejudice ingrained in her people, and a seemingly unbeatable king.

Interesting Plot but ....

Interesting story however I started to find Eden truly annoying in this book. I found myself skipping forward to finish the book.

Amazing Storyline

Each book in this CrossStar series seems to outdo the ones before. Filled with suspense, action, mystery, and emotions. Excellent character development that grows within each book. Enjoyable narration. Eden takes you through her painful days of being prisoner and you feel her emotions as she shares her love. The future of all immortals is in the hands of her bloodline. Highly recommend this series. Can’t wait for more.

5 'OBTUSE QUEEN' STARS

OMG! I have never wanted to shake sense into a character more! I wish wish wish we had gotten som Kiran POV's in this story because Eden thinks too damn much. He so obviously loves her but she continually tells herself he doesn't and reminds herself she has moved on. Honey if you have to remind yourself then you have NOT moved on lol. Bailey Carr is Amazing and really brings this story to life.

Eden so childish it’s ridiculous

I’ve been listening half heartedly since the beginning. I realize that it’s a ya story and it’s quite evident the author believes that means the main character should act like an oblivious two year old. She stomps her foot and has temper tantrums. She has a martyrdom complex and thinks she alone is being persecuted all the while supposedly fighting for the freedom of her people. She is reckless and stupid to a degree that defies belief. I don’t understand her insta love that flits around regardless of really getting to know the men inside. How is she this big leader but nobody tells her anything and she is too stupid to put the pieces together. How dare so and so do this to her. It’s insipid She treats everyone terribly. How could any of them think she should be a leader

Additionally the author uses words and phrases inaccurately. The writing is juvenile and I am surprised at the audience doesn’t feel offended.

The performance is mediocre at best. Her accents are terrible. There is very little distinction among the voices.

It was free for me to listen to or I wouldn’t have

It just keeps getting better and better!

I just love this series and this book is no different. This book does a great job in starting you off one way, making you change your mind, and then youre basically begging for the book to go in the direction you want it to go in. This book does a great job in making you feel everything the character does and leaning in the direction she does. It also does a great job with splitting up dramatic moments with humorous not stressful ones. I love everything about this book. The characters are amazing and the ways they have changed from book 1 to now is just amazing. this is exactly everything you want in a book and in a series. And of course the narration is just perfect. I love the british accents and the different male voices as well. Everything about this book is just amazing and i cannot say enough good things about it. i highly recommend reading this series!
