This book is a before and after. This is not a Hollywood made up perfect story of love. This is a testimony of what loving your neighbor really means. The price of love and what it produces. Heart touching and inspiring

Narration was good and used fluctuations that made it interesting to listen to it. The story is one of inspiration but so much heartbreak. Will listen to it again!

Compelling story.

I had a general knowledge of the story of the five missionaries who were speared in Ecuador but this book filled in a lot of missing details. I do think the reader should slow down and read with more expression.

Every follower of Jesus needs to hear this story! While it will encourage and challenge everyone, it will particularly speak to those who have answered the call of ministry and have experienced the many trials and tribulations that God uses to shape us into His image and for His glory!

Love the story, adventure and significance. The narrator's delivery is a bit cheesy like an evening anchorman but I got used to it after a while

God’s ways are beyond understanding

I appreciated this book, as it is a perfect illustration of how God’s ways are not our ways and that although we can’t understand the present trial or circumstance, if we continue to seek God, he will make sure that all things work together.

Highly recommended for anyone venturing to do something for God, and wanting to go outside of their comfort zone!

Raw truth, so interesting

I don’t know how I stumbled upon this book. I think Audible might’ve recommended it to me. I’ve never been too interested in what was going on in the Amazon forest, but when it was combined with the story about his dad, the jungle pilot and I began to see this is going to be something very interesting. I went ahead and started listening. I never intended on listening to the whole thing. The end is almost better than the beginning and I think it’s a really inspirational. But it’s also history. If you’re a historian like I am, it’s history. The Audible voice grows on you. They give a lot of detail but in the end it makes sense.
