Wedding Bells or Magic Spells?

Katie Chandler's wedding day is coming soon, and she and Owen Palmer have a lot to do to make sure the event is magical. That makes this a very bad time for rumors about magic to be hitting the general public, even the television news.

The secret about magic has been safe for centuries, but can it survive an era of cell phone cameras and the internet? As Katie delves deeper into an online anti-magic underground movement, she starts to suspect that there's something more going on. Someone in the magical world is trying to expose magic to ordinary people. The fallout for the magical world could be devastating, and without the restrictions to keep magic out of the public eye, unscrupulous wizards might run amok. Worst of all, the culprit is trying to pin it all on Owen, who makes a handy scapegoat.

Katie's got to track down and stop the plot - and fast. Otherwise, society will be forever altered, and Katie's wedding may be missing a groom.

Light and Entertaining

This series is light and entertaining. Even the “darker” moments in the story are very light. Swendson does a nice job of building a magical world with all the trimmings and some consistent concepts raised in, say, Harry Potter. However, one would never confuse these stories. Dialogue is still in places, the story is a bit predictable in places, and everyone “whirled” -though not as often as prior books. Nonetheless, the book was entertaining. ♥️

My only criticism about the narration is that around Chapter 16, she must have a cold or something. Because the difference in her voice is *noticeable and distracting at first. It might have been better to re-record the first half or wait until the narrator was well again.

Not a great storyline and horrible narrator didn’t help!

Wasn’t one of the best books in the series really disappointed great ending but disappointed on the rest of the book. Really hate the narrator!! And really she records half of it with a cold which makes it sound even worse! The voices in the beginning of the series sound nothing like they do now. I know people’s voices do change which is probably what happen with the narrator because it does span over 10 years...but now the voices are so similar I don’t know who’s talking finally got so fed up I had my Alexa read the book for me because the narrator was so horrible!!

OMG THE WOMAN PERFORMING THIS BOOK IS THE WORST!

i have never said anything bad about a reader before. When other ppl say the narrator is bad, I can dont agree because i focus on the book at that point and not the narrator. I couldn't this time and thats a first for me! ALL the characters sounded alike, some difference between a male and female but not much. I couldn't at time tell who was speaking or if it was just thinking to themselves. I know narrating books is a talent and she reads smoothly but you have to have more than 2 pitches to do professionally. I suggest reading the book and you can have your own thoughts of how ppl sound because you wont know it by listening to this book.

Just as enchanting as ever!

This story is just as compelling as the rest of the series. It's a solid story and a lovely clean romance. I hope she keeps the series going!

The last one?

I would say I'm going to miss this series but it won't be true I'm just going to continue rereading/listening to them every year for the foreseeable future as this has been my habit since the first one came out.

I love these books about a woman's discovery of magic and how it changes her life. We see her having adventures, dealing with challenges and falling in love. This book is an excellent end to the series.

Well...what a disappointment!

Having avidly followed and constantly revisited this series, I was so excited when I saw this was being released. I hadn’t really enjoyed ‘Frogs & Kisses’, the book before this, so I was really hopeful that this one was going to be fantastic . It wasn’t, it was more than a bit lacking. The story was a huge disappointment, so much repetition, so little content. I feel actually let down. I can only imagine Miss Swendson ran out of ideas. What a shame, the premis and characters are wonderful, so much scope to have written something incredible, I honestly cannot hide my genuine disappointment. Sorry.
