Publisher's Summary

If you want to learn how to manage your empathy and develop your gift, then keep reading.

The truth is we all feel some kind of empathy toward others. But if you have no control over your empathy and always have the obsession of fixing other people, then you know how painfully frustrating being an empath can be.

Empaths are usually overwhelmed by other people’s emotions. They feel what others feel and are able to profoundly understand their mind. As a result, empaths care for everyone else but themselves. They become “magnets” for negative people who want to take advantage of the empaths’ ability to understand opinions and emotions of others.

However, being an empath doesn’t have to be so negative. You have a powerful and beautiful gift, and if you learn how to embrace and channel your empathy, you can use it for spreading kindness, love, and positive energy to the world.

In this book you’ll learn:

  • Six powerful methods you can use to control your gift (hint: they don’t include “avoid social situations” and “lock yourself up in your house”)
  • The single most effective thing you can do to shield yourself from energy vampires
  • 11 most common personality traits of empaths
  • How to use a specific kind of negative thinking to actually overcome your social anxiety
  • 20 statements to help you determine if you really are an empath
  • Is an energy vampire preying on you? Here’s how to find out
  • How to find out if your child is an empath and what you can do to support
  • How detoxifying a certain area of your brain can help you embrace your empathic abilities and improve your sense of intuition
  • Why in certain cases accepting negativity can actually help you feel better

Even if right now you feel you have no control over your abilities, I want you to know that you can learn how to manage your empathy and develop your gift in the right way.

Informative and enlightening

This book was helpful in recognizing and learning to navigate my own struggles with being an Empath. For years I wondered why people in grocery stores would strike up conversations just to unload all their troubles. This title was received for my review and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to listen. I learned a lot and will listen again soon!

Being An Empath

Empath was a great listen even though about twice it was dubbed over. It explains what it means to be an empath and ways to protect yourself from people such as narcissists and negative people. Being an empath doesn't just mean you're empathetic. It's so much more than that. It means you're sensitive and pick up on things that maybe others may not notice. There are different types of empaths; healers, psychic, etc. You will learn how to identify if you have a child who's also an empath. This audiobook gives suggestions on how to de-stress and cleanse yourself of others negative energies. It also includes some very good affirmations. Overall this was a great and helpful listen.

Christine Cochrane did a great job with the narration. She has a soft, relaxing voice which is also very de-stressing.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Interesting

The material in the book was interesting. A similar book was recently recommended to me and I found it fascinating. I wanted to give this more stars, but either someone didn’t do a quality check on the audio or audible is having glitches. There were several instances where 2 tracks seemed to be playing at the same time so it sounded like the narrator was talking over herself. Also, I heard one instance where she simply repeated the sentence. I’m sure that audible would let the producer fix these glitches and reload. The material is interesting and the narration is good otherwise. So, worth fixing to make it easier to listen to. This book was provided to me for an honest review.

Good advice for highly sensitive people

The beginning of the book defines what a genuine empath is, which seems to be someone slightly clairvoyant- I am not that at all. However, I still had many of the listed traits. The information and advice is very good. I especially loved the affirmations at the end, The book was very nicely read by the narrator, however there are a few audio recording problems. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
