Intriguing Storyline!

While not my typical genre, Elias Reborn has a twisting plot that made me want to keep listening! I'm definitely going to check out the sequel!

Mostly enjoyed this and it’s worth your time to listen

I know that’s not a rave review but it truly was a good story. Where it failed is in it structure and execution. I really feel like it was in need of a good editor sort the order of events and help in the precise building of character development. That’s not to say I didn’t like the characters. I just didn’t get to know them as I would have liked. In the end of the book it seems as if the author has to make up for lost time by finally telling us who everyone really is.
Vague? Maybe. But I am looking forward to the sequel now that I feel I know all the characters better.
As for the voice performance. I guess it’s all about choices. Some of them I didn’t like and unfortunately the ones I didn’t enjoy were usually main characters. Outside of that, it is narrated with excellent emotion for the story. I can tell that Greg took the proper time to read the book and work out his voicing a head of the recording sessions. His diction was a bit odd for these New England ears for the first chapter but I quickly adjusted.

Fun read!

I originally bought this book because of a Facebook post by the author and because my grandson is named Elias. I've never read steampunk fantasy before this but found the world and setting to be very unique. Truitt has created many rich characters and an exciting storyline that pulls you along. it borders on young adult, though there is a bit of grammar in the telling. An exciting and touching end. Well done!
