Publisher's summary

From the author of the award-winning science fiction adventure The Chronocar: An Urban Adventure In Time.

If ghosts can visit us, can we visit them?

Ron Lewis’ education and career are firmly rooted in science. But a curse that dates back to the days of slavery has plagued him since childhood.

Born in a black ghetto in Chicago in the 1960s, Ron’s pragmatism is at odds with his experiences; whether it’s the trials of an interracial relationship or the supernatural forces that he can’t seem to avoid.

Just when he thinks he’s finally found peace of mind, Ron’s life is upended by tragedy. He gets the opportunity to use science to try to communicate with the dead, and to finally confront the evil that has plagued him and his family for generations.

That’s when all hell breaks loose.

Critic reviews

Edge of Perception has every ingredient of a brilliant novel. You do not need to be a fan of paranormal novels to enjoy this book. The characters, story line, and thought-provoking subject matter will send shivers down your spine. Highly, highly recommended.” (Lesley Jones for Readers’ Favorite)

“With its compelling, action-packed story that follows Ron from childhood night terrors to adult confrontations with the nature of reality and evil, Edge of Perception offers a powerful narrative that sifts through the demons in Ron’s life to conclude with an unexpected bang.” (Diane Donovan, Donovan’s Literary Services)

WOW! Unique, Riveting and Fabulous!

Part ghost story, part futuristic science fiction with a back to the future vibe, part romance with a bit of delightful heat, wholly engrossing and entertaining with believable, easy flowing, and most of all authentic narration, Edge of Perception is a well written story with delightfully unique characters and a clear well defined plot that kept me glued to my headphones from start to finish! And that ending? Not a dry eye in this house! I loved it! Thank you Steve Bellinger for a delightful evening! Five fabulous stars! I wish I could give so many more!

intriguing

A great deal of losses, but still finding some bright spots of hope. Twists and turns I didn't expect. The PNR and sci fi combo wss interesting to follow. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was okay.

A story for all humanity

What a wonderful audiobook! Beautifully Narrated , and filled with stories that bring laughter and tears. This memoir will make one long for a front porch of their own to share stories of love, forgiveness, courage, and healing with friends and family.

Have not listened to anything like it

it was really an interesting book. a young boy sees and hears a demon as a child and is afraid. his Grandmother knows it and chases it away, but when she dies it comes back. I loved that he found love twice, and that one stuck. it was also an interesting view into the life of someone in the black community, when it was new for them to be in college. Excellent work.

No

Edge of Perception, in my opinion, was not as good as I thought it was going to be. The beginning started out strong, but in the middle, it lost me. The being that was supposed to be following him from childhood is supposed to be a Tokoloshe, but it does not fit into the mythology of Tokolosh. I received this book for free upon my request. This is my honest opinion. I wish I had not requested this book.
