Great Saga

I only write reviews if I really enjoy a good book. This saga definetly rates a review, the main reason for me rating it so high is that the saga actually got better with each book, which is unusual, I have often find that this is not the case.

the twilight saga

what can I say? Brilliant story line.
Can't wait for the movies of all 4 books.

I loved the audio. Why didn't I know about this sooner?

Very enjoyable

I have read the previous two books in the series and decided to get the audiobook to stretch out the experience of enjoying these books (I devoured the paperbacks in a very short few hours).

I enjoyed the narrator's rendition. I also enjoyed the plot of this book just as much as I enjoyed the previous two. Stephanie's writing is compelling.

One small quibble with the quality of the audio. Around 3 times in the 16 hours of listening it behaved as if the record had got stuck. It may just have been my copy - a glitch in the download. It didn't spoil the overall experience.

Weakest in the Saga

The love triangle is pretty forced and over dramatic. Bella's lack of agency is also concerning if you overthink it. This book is definitely a guilty pleasure. Don't read any of the twilight books expecting amazing writing or characters who make believable choices. Don't get me wrong, I still stan. I finished Eclipse in about 2 days. just don't read between the lines too much.

One of my favouriates

Love the whole series. The story keep you interested right the way through. A wonderful series that takes you out of reality for the time reading. Most enjoyable.

Eclipse

The books are fantastic but the narrator is not the best I have heard. Her voice makes Bella's character sound even more complaining and annoying.

Not to be missed!

I too only bother to write a review when the book warrants it. I read book 1 and listened to book 2 and 3. Fantastic! What an imagination this lady has and everything is just so plausible. Whatever you do, dont miss out on 1 and 2 - read/listen to them first as it would be a shame to miss out on another 2 brilliant books!

Fantastic

Again a compelling story with excellent narration. Such angst.

First time audiobook experience

Didn't enjoy it, was a struggle to finish. Wish it was possible to chose a different narrator, the voice she put on for Jake was cringeworthy.

Normalising Sexual Assault is NOT ok!

This is the hero? He still had my chin - his fingers holding too tight, till it hurt - and I saw the resolve form abruptly in his eyes. "No -" I started to object, but it was too late. His lips crushed mine, stopping my protest. He kissed me angrily, roughly, his other hand griping tight around the back of my neck, making escape impossible. I shoved against his chest with all my strength, but he didn't even seem to notice. His mouth was soft, despite the anger, his lips molding to mine in a warm, unfamiliar way. I grabbed at his face, trying to push it away, failing again. He seemed to notice this time, though, and it aggravated him. His lips forced mine open, and I could feel his hot breath inside my mouth. Acting on instinct, I let my hands drop to my side, and shut down. I opened my eyes and didn't fight, didn't feel...just waited for him to stop. It worked. The anger seemed to evaporate, and he pulled back to look at me. He pressed his lips softly to mine again, once, twice......a third time. I pretended I was a statue and waited. Finally he let go of my face and leaned away. "Are you done now?" I asked in an expressionless voice. "Yes," he sighed. He started to smile, closing his eyes. Pages 293-294 The reactions of the character is not ok. Her FATHER actually congratulates him! Even though her hand is broke from punching him and she’s clearly upset. This is seriously messed up! Should call it "Bella Swan and the sexual assault"

reading is fine, the actor reading Jacobs letter at the start was good. worst book in the series though.

Terribly narrated!!

I enjoyed the books and have read many times over. However I really felt the reading from Ilyana Kadushin made the story feel like I was being read Peter Pan! Her voice was too child like and sounds far to whimsical. It left me feeling like she had never actually read the books before narrating then. The tone and expression in her voice was completely off. She sounded more like a prepubescent boy then a conflicted strong willed woman. DISAPPOINTED

Love it

I have read the books and listened to audible version at least 30times over the past 8 years and I never get sick of it.
I always myself listening for longer than I should just because I don't want it to stop.

Great all round

The narrators were great and the storyline was fascinating pulling the emotions of the characters off the page. It was brilliant to see through the perspective of another character. Ending with an atmosphere of sadness compelling any reader / listener forward.
