Mark and The Bird

I love that Mark and The Bird's relationship is getting even better. Sarcasm abounds as they rif off each other's coments.

Great adventure with lots of twists and turns.

Loved the warrior overcoming his PTSD and rising to the challenges of his age. Good foreshadowing of characters from the Backyard Spaceship. Loved the whole story and the interactions between Mark and his AI's colorful and spicy. Looking forward to the 'NEXT' one. Argh the wait is excruciating!

Action, action, action

If there is one thing that Maggert and Chaney know it is how to write and action filled space opera. This story is no different. It grabs you by the seat of your pants and tells you to hold on tight from the very beginning.

Good character development

Well performed, good story. Up to date on the Backyard Starship series, so already familiar with many of the characters. As a veteran, really enjoy the way the authors present managing war fatigue and PTSD.

Great prologue

Wow! This series does double duty as an entertaining story and as an interesting prologue to the “Backyard…” series. Lots of history that is only alluded to in the original story is explained and expanded here.

great plot, characters are well rounded -good listen

thoroughly enjoyable. Taylorson does a great job distingishing the characters. Looking forward to the next book

Story and characters improving

Much better than first book. Keep the surprises coming. Look forward to hearing next book.

Enjoyable but some issues

My biggest issue is that the name that is used for Mark's ship is the name his grandson gave it many years after these stories take place. Reading both series simultaneously (as they are released) means there are some cringe points where "I know something." All in all I am enjoying the stories and will continue to read them as they appear.

Great storyline

Loved the plot development and continuation of the characters and story arc. Peacemaker Wars fills in the background of the Backyard Starship series.
