Publisher's Summary

What is the hardest challenge you’ve faced as a student of the Russian language?

You can work hard on your grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, but being able to communicate naturally isn’t easy. In fact, the toughest part of learning Russian is knowing how to speak like a native. Most textbooks are made to teach you the traditional rules and structures of a language and are great for getting around the grammar and spelling questions you may have. However, how many of them provide you the tools necessary to have a common conversation with a best friend or someone you’ve just met? Not many.

Language learners often complain about this: a lack of material that can help you familiarize yourself with the most common phrases used in everyday conversation and in native surroundings. For this reason, we at Lingo Mastery have developed Easy Russian Phrase Book: Over 1500 Common Phrases for Everyday Use and Travel for you, our favorite language learner, so that you may find the best expressions for common usage in Russia and communicate with your Russian friends, colleagues, and clients without any issue!

In this audiobook, you will find:

  • An introduction with a detailed guide on how to pronounce vowels and consonants (as well as their combinations) in the Russian tongue
  • A list of over 1500 common phrases in Russian, with an accurate translation in English for your understanding
  • A phonetics pronunciation guide of each and every word in the phrases, included after every translation
  • Finally, a conclusion to make sure you’ve learned and supply you with a final list of tips

Your days struggling with natural communication with native speakers is finally over. Our Easy Russian Phrase Book is here. It’s time for you to take your Russian to the next level.

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Don't be fooled by the title

The phrases may be easy, but the vocabulary is rich. There is probably something in this book for every level of Russian learner except the very most advanced. There are even moments of humor if you're reading between the lines.

I enjoyed this book very much.

Misleading title

It says travel and everyday phrases. They should make it clear that this is just a survival travel phrase book. Very boring, too. Just a man saying the phrase in English then another man saying it in Russian.

Good resource

I communicate regularly with people who speak Russian and since I have minimal knowledge of the language, this book is a nice reference to have on hand. They're everyday, common phrases that are very useful. I like that the pronunciation guide listed under each phrase shows you where the stress is on each word (where necessary) too. That's extremely helpful!

Quality content, highly recommend

A competent and comprehensive introduction to Russian. Great audiobook if you intend to build a strong vocabulary and understanding. It provides a good amount of daily phrases to learn and apply to your conversations.
The introduction takes it’s time to present vowels and consonants easily, great for intensive pronunciation practice. As a self-learner I find the accompanying PDF text to be very complementary to the audio and well-organized, guiding you accordingly through each section.
Very concise and helpful for real-life conversations and day-to-day situations.

A Useful Accompaniment to Kindle Book

I have a Kindle book of the same title. I struggled with pronunciation of words. Then this audio version has come and solved my "pronunciation anxiety." Each word has its pronunciation at two speeds, regular and slow; the slow speed helps confirm where accent mark falls on the word. Another nice add-on is that this audio book now has an accompanying PDF; you may want to use this PDF instead of buying the Kindle book. I am happy with this audio book.

Helpful listening

Russian is one of my favourite languages, and this audiobook is a good addition to my collection of learning materials. The pronunciation guide at the beginning for the Cyrillic alphabet is especially helpful. It is instructive to read the phrases as they’re being said so you know exactly how they’re spelt, and to go over the sections you care the most about a few times.
