Loved it - a worthy (if not better) sequel!

Loved it - a worthy (if not better) sequel! This second book has been a long time coming, but was certainly worth the wait! Author C.L. Murray has a way of consistently choosing a main theme to explore in his novels (complex relationships with fathers, personality evolution and growth through hardship, self-perspective vs. how others see you) and then looking at that theme openly and honestly from every character's perspective - but not in a way that feels forced. Each story is so solidly told, and the themes woven in so organically, that you just end up really enjoying a freaking amazing classic epic fantasy... and in classic epic fantasy style, you then end up *thinking* about the story and the characters long after you're done (with the FIRST read through).
