Wonderful Find

Was in between series when I saw this and decided to take a chance on it. Very pleased I did and I can’t wait to finish the rest of the series. There were some minor inconsistencies I noticed a few of, but overall the writing was solid with good narration. 10/10 would recommend.

3 Book box set was a nice long listen. Books 1-3. Look forward to more.

Loved it

The first (3) books of these series are epic, and like always D. K. Holmberg does an excellent job in character development and leaving you on edge to start the next chapter, after chapter.

Best book I have ever heard or read

Listened to the series and hardly ever did I have to go back and register to anything. The book flowed that well. Was entertaining and the direction he took his subject was more interesting than anything I have ever heard before.

slow burn

this whole story is a gradual slow burn with pleasant twists and enough character involvement to frustrate at times. as that may be, it provokes enough to empathize and keeps you engaged

Good story, no sword fghts.

typical Holmberg, nothing really happens until the end. 3rd book was a lot of fun.

Good listen!

I enjoyed the stories and the narration. The main character was a bit annoying at times but did not detract from the experience. It actually showed me how involved in the story. If you enjoy fantasy fiction this would not be a bad choice!

Good Story

Entertaining, and interesting. Gives enough to keep you going, but not so much it becomes predictable and dull. will try out the next couple stories in the series now.

The narrator is great. The story evolves and without having to use an expansive kingdom. Very well done
