Publisher's summary

In this age of social media attacks, constant distraction, and rampant corruption, a high emotional intelligence quotient, or EQ, is more important than ever. Justin Bariso brings the concept of emotional intelligence up to date and into the real world, combining scientific research with high-profile examples and personal stories.

For example, in EQ Applied, you'll:

  • examine one of the most famous business stories of all time - Steve Jobs's exit and return to Apple - from a completely different angle...and reveal a major lesson in the process
  • learn how to control your emotional reactions - and see how a modern day "miracle" brought this ability to life
  • learn how to break bad habits and escape "emotional hijacks"
  • discover how emotional intelligence can be used for evil - and how you can protect yourself

Learn how to make emotions work for you, instead of against you. That's EQ Applied.

Completely lives up to its title!

This resource was chock full relevant, practical, everyday common techniques and applications for incorporating/practicing EQ.

Its utilitarian nature caused me to purchase the hardcover version as well. Will definitely become a reference tool in my library.

Highly recommended!

Aha moments!

9 pages of notes later... I loved the depth of this book. Connections to things I already knew, to those ‘Aha moments’ that stops you in your tracks. This book truly inspired me to utilize my strengths and learn to be more attentive to my self awareness in even the smallest of moments. I feel so grateful!

Philosophical junk food

A typical book on a pseudo-topic with no discernible arc, thesis, or takeaway; analysis based on anecdote, social tropes, and subjective assertions of the way peoples emotions work.

Hoping to get my credit back.
