Publisher's Summary

A strong novel with captivating characters. From award-winning author Brianna York.

Matthew Hargreve, Duke Dunsaney, lives a life of privilege and power. He is a peer of the realm with social standing, money, and devilish good looks. What could the envy of fashionable London society be missing in his life?

The answer to that question arrives in the form of a mysterious young lady who brings with her a dangerous family secret. Her beauty and intelligence fill in the empty places that the duke had not even known were dwelling in his heart.

Will the duke be able to unravel the secrets of the mysterious young woman without becoming a casualty of her dark secrets?

This is the first book in the Dunsaney Saga series.

loved it

I had a long journey this week so listened to Dunsaney's Desire most of the way, I was actually disappointed to reach my destination lol.
lovely story, I felt more invested in the 'side' romance between Alex and Forest actually than the main Matthew and Tess, but really enjoyed all the main characters. Loved all the British voices and the narrator was very engaging and classy. Thanks for getting me through a LONG trip!

Perfect escapism story, classy performance!

I ordered this to fill the Regency-shaped hole in my life after finishing Bridgerton, and actually enjoyed this even more! the story is cosy but not too predictable, and the narrator has a soothing voice with a great range of voices for the characters, it was fun! hoping to listen to more in the series.

Nice listen

Although this book was very stretched out and became quite slow in some chapters the narration was very entertaining and the story was interesting once it got going

What a fun listen!

The narrator has such a nice voice and I loved all the cute British accents for the different characters - especially the villain, so funny! Looking forward to reading more Brianna York and think I'll wait for the next audiobooks as its so enjoyable in a listening format. If you like historical romances and nothing too heavy this is perfect for you.
(By the way I think one of the reviewers below missed that Marcus and Matthew are different characters - and I didn't hear any mistakes in the narration so perhaps take it up with audible if the download you got was faulty.) This is a great job all round!
