Publisher's summary

For five years, Aderyn has waited to get the Call—the event when the system controlling her world grants her a class and appropriate skills to become an adventurer. When the system makes her a Warmaster, Aderyn eagerly sets out on her first journey.

The problem? Her class is useless.

No one believes a Warmaster is anything but a joke. They aren’t strong fighters, they have no magic, and they don’t have powerful skills. But Aderyn hasn’t waited all these years to give up now. With the help of a young man from another world, she’s going to prove this Warmaster can do anything.

I picked this book up because it had no ratings

I was honestly pretty surprised, I've not read this author before, nor have I heard this narrator and I have to give them passing marks!

The book starts with a pretty novel (heh) flip of a standard trope in the isekai genre, and while it wasn't leveraged into anything groundbreaking the story was very nice.

This litrpg is more smooth than crunch, to its benefit. The cast of characters is solid, and fun. the story arch felt like it ended nicely without being a bullshit cliffhanger.

I'm looking forward to the next in the series, and might look into what else the author has written!
